Overall the facility was wonderful and we enjoy the indoor and outdoor amenities. We had some difficulty checking in and it took a while for the property manager to respond. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

The Western Town Retreat was a great choice for our family reunion of 22 people, ages 3 to 67. There was plenty of room for everyone, the apartments in the Horse Barn were roomier than expected. There was a large flat top gas grill that made cooking for 22 much easier than anticipated. The play area for the kids had a tree house, playground, and tetherball. There was a lot of imaginative play time happening out there. We loved the wide open space in the Horse Barn for games and meal time. The hosts were super responsive and helpful. There is no air conditioning in the Horse Barn and limited air conditioning in the cabins. That said, the day-time high temperatures at the end of July were in the mid-80s (with low humidity) and the night-time temps were in the 60s. With fans going, we were comfortable. I'd recommend bringing fans with you, which we did. We had a great time at the Western Town Retreat.

This was a very convenient location for a large family gathering with all three buildings close together. We loved the large red barn for gathering to eat and play games. And all adult couples had their own private room. Close to Monticello and Blanding with many places to explore. But the thing I loved the best was the minimal check-out procedures of just basically having things generally clean! We've stayed at some VRBOs where the last morning was spent having to clean and launder everything before leaving.

Nice quiet and clean place with room for extended family. The hosts are great and everything was smooth and as expected. I would stay here again.
