Treetop Retreat is a privately owned condo at Waterwheel Condominiums on the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels. Our ultra-private 3rd floor end unit offers a private balcony and no foot-traffic in front of your door or noise above you. Access is easy with the elevator in front of the C building...just a short walk across the terrace. This spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo has floor to ceiling windows and a private balcony facing the beautiful Guadalupe river-front expanse. With a king bed in the master bedroom, a queen bed in the guest room, and a full size sleeper sofa, this unit comfortably sleeps 6 guests. Waterwheel is a condominium community of privately-owned homes nestled in a residential neighborhood, offering the tranquil feel of a river-front retreat while being right off center of the heart of New Braunfels action. Lounge at one of the two pools, soak in one of the four hot tubs. Plant your camping chair in the river and read a book or fish to your heart's content. Walk next door to Rockin' R River Rides to catch a shuttle for floating the Comal River. Or catch the Guadalupe River shuttle right in the parking lot. Walk or drive 6 blocks to Schlitterbahn. Walk around the corner to Cypress Bend Park for a short float back to Waterwheel. Drive to Hinman Island, Landa Park, downtown New Braunfels, or Historic Gruene in under 5 minutes. Enjoy all the comforts of home including a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, WiFi, and cable TV. Enjoy personal touches ...tubes and air pumps are provided for guests to use along with a host of tubing information. Books, board games, and dvd's are waiting for you when you come in from fun in the sun. Plenty of local-area information is available to help you plan your adventures, and I'm always available to answer your questions. There is a private bathroom with shower-tub in the master bedroom and a bathroom with walk-in shower with entry to the hall and second bedroom. The unit has a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, coffee pot, microwave, and garbage disposal. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of flatware, cookware, and dishes, along with consumables such as coffee, sweeteners, and creamer, dish soap, laundry soap, and paper towels. There is a stack-able washer and dryer and plenty of extra linens. The door is equipped with a digital lock, and each guest receives a unique code for their stay. No need to check in anywhere, and no waiting around for a manager to bring you a key. Nicely kept condo on 3rd floor. Allowed for pretty views and deer watching. Pool and hot tubs were fun extra. Small balcony just right for coffee in the morning with the birds and deer.

Our stay at the Treetop Retreat was a perfect getaway for my husband and I. I really enjoyed the private balcony area the weather was perfect not to mention the Annular eclipse 9/14/23 was happening that Saturday. Our walks around grounds were peaceful ,tranquil and rejuvenating . I felt like a kid exploring my surroundings. I'm looking forward to staying in A301 ( Treetop Retreat) again.

Layout of the condo was great for the three of us. Centrally located and was easy to figure the vicinity. The river was low unfortunately, but still a gorgeous setting!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the TreeTop Retreat. The location was in the heart of New Braunfels and a quick drive to Gruene. It was very clean and roomy for our party of 5. We appreciated that they had 6 floats & an air pump available for our use. The pool area was nice and we enjoyed a long float down the river from Gruene to our location. Property owners were very sweet. We hope to come back in the future.

The location is perfect for your stay if you are going to Schlitterbahn, less than 5 minute drive. Additionally, Suzanne is a great host who quickly responds to any questions you may have. I recommend the property for a stay in New Braunfels. During our stay, there wasn't much flow in the river so instead of tubing we decided to do SUP (Stand-up-paddle board) and this worked out well. We did float from the nearby park to the condo, which although a short distance took about an hour.

We enjoyed our stay here. Came with my family of 4 and we were very comfortable. The pool options were nice, but we spent most of our time in the river next to the property. The apartment itself had everything we needed. You’ll definitely get your steps in walking around the property! Close proximity to everything we needed in town, and to Gruene. Would recommend!

We loved our stay here. The condo is on the third floor so it’s quiet and the neighborhood is safe. The condo was clean and it was so nice not having to buy our own tubes and air pump. The location is great for floating and going to Gruene. Would stay here again for sure.

Overall - unit itself is wonderful, owners were SUPER responsive and very accommodating and easy to get in touch with. The beds were very comfortable. House was stocked with everything youd need. Washer and dryer was super handy too.

We had a wonderful time in this condo. Suzanne, our hostess thought of every detail to make our stay comfortable. The decor in the place was in harmony with the beautiful nature scenery we enjoyed viewing every day we were there. The kitchen had all the cookware and utensils we needed. We enjoyed the inflatable tubes in the river and appreciated the towels in the basket when we returned to the condo. We liked how easy it was to find our reserved parking and to enter the condo with our given code. My family also appreciated the binders full of ideas for places to go see and great restaurants. Suzanne also included information about river tubing near the condo. I highly recommend this condo because it was the perfect setting for our family to enjoy one another in a cozy and comfortable place.

We had a wonderful time. It is so close to home and only an hour up the road from us. The condo was so close to the river and totally immaculate inside and out. The pools and hot tubs were great. The youngest girls enjoyed the games while the oldest enjoyed the pools. I felt completely safe the whole time. We will definitely be coming back.

The Waterwheel's property is beautiful and extremely well maintained. The pool and hot tubs were immaculate. The river access is perfect! There are plenty of flat rocks on which to sit and places to put camp chairs in the water and relax. The condo was better than perfect! The corner location makes it very quiet. The balcony extends all along the family room side of the condo and goes around the corner. There is plenty of room for sitting and enjoying the view. The view from the balcony and from the large picture family room windows is fabulous! Even better, there is a tall tree in front of one of the windows where we watched beautiful birds sit and eat the berries. The condo was immaculately clean and very well stocked. Suzanne was a joy and a pleasure with whom to communicate. The Waterwheel's clientele was very family oriented, which we loved. Suzanne's condo definitely will be our number one choice going forward!

Everything was super easy and great communication with the owner. She responded quickly within an hour or so of sending her a message. We loved the privacy and this beautiful condo loved the end of the building and really enjoyed watching the deer below the balcony morning and night and occasionally during the day beautifull buck the males in my family drooled over lol We will definitely be back ! Highly recommend this property

We were in town for a wedding and this location was convenient for all our activities both in SA and Austin. In the words of my husband ‘it was clean, efficient and very comfortable’. Before arriving we received complete instructions with all details spelled out clearly. Our host was quickly responsive to questions and provided many basic conveniences saving us a lot of time and running around. We would definitely stay with this host again, she gets five stars!!

The property is short walk from the Guadalupe River and has a nice spot to get your feet wet and fish for small species. The condo is very nice and has comfortable beds and furniture. Suzanne was a great host and extremely responsive to text messages. The unit is on the corner of the building with no neighbors above. It is a very quiet unit.

We came down for a Three Dog Night concert in Grune. This property was perfect for myself, my husband & another couple. Suzanne was GREAT. Had to call her once & she took care of us quickly. If we go back will stay there again. Thanks Katy 9/17/22

Everything about our stay here was perfect! It was quiet (minus the construction next door, which wasn’t all that loud) and so close to many activities. Gruene was very close and very cool to visit. The rivers were all so much fun to visit, walk, and float. Suzanne kept us in the loop with all that was going on and even allowed us to extend an extra night after part of our group was delayed in arriving by a day. The total experience was one I’ll always remember and will be looking to do again and again for the foreseeable future. Thank you for a great total experience!!!
