I loved the Manga selection service! Such a great idea and I discovered a new favorite this way. Also excellent that tgere is a selection of Manga in English for those who cannot read Japanese. My capsule space was very comfortable and bathroom facilities too.
The foam protection above the entrance to my capsule needs to cover the entire surface, I did hit my head a few times. The virtual check-in was a Problem because the video chat did not work and there was no staff around to help. It took 1.5 hrs of trying and waiting for me and another traveller until we could check in. I suggest to establish a backup check-in option for cases like this, e.g. another call app on the computer to choose or a pin pad on the door to get in with a code.

You are basically staying in a library! The bookshelves aren't in a separate room; they are in the dorm! It's clean and bright and quiet with a counter to sit at if you want to eat. The location is pretty central, with a subway stop just round the corner. The beds are almost in their own pods with curtain doors but walls all around. There is plenty of headroom for sitting up and the lights have dimmer switches, so you can have them as bright as you like (useful for reading!). You also get your own little safe with good instructions. The beds are full single width and comfortable. There was an earthquake one night - a 5 close to Tokyo - and the building felt perfectly safe.
It was quite hard to find English language manga. A lot of the books with English titles on the spines turned out to be Japanese inside. Check in is a bit weird because you have to call someone up on a video link on a tablet and when I arrived it was on the wrong screen and if a member of staff had not been there I would have been lost (and they are not there often). They need a more user-friendly system. The man on the video link was lovely, but contacting him was hard. Also I kept bumping my head on one particular bookshelf just outside by bed.

The location was great and I liked how the manga had descriptions and the lil sleeping pods were surprisingly comfortable and peaceful. The location was also amazing. I didn’t realize how close it was to Akiba when I reserved the spot so it was even better than anticipated!
It felt a little cramped when trying to move past other guests. However, given the price and other accommodations, that’s a minor inconvenience unless someone is really private and introverted
