Situated in Agde, this charming villa for $194 per night is a great option for your next vacation. High-spec villa in Marseillan village, officially classified 4 star and is air-conditioned throughout. Sleeps 6 comfortably: 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Secure, private pool with whirlpool, heated from mid-May to mid-September. We have bikes (for adults and teenagers) you are welcome to use. Central, yet peaceful location with shops and restaurants just a few minutes stroll away. Our recent, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom Villa de l'Arbusier is a gem, situated in a quiet cul de sac with private parking, just 400 metres from the bustling centre of the village. Villa de l'Arbusier is located in a small residential development of nine houses set well back from the street at the end of a safe and quiet cul de sac (ideal for families with young children) offering private off-street parking directly in front of the property (one car only and free parking nearby) and protected by a security camera above the entrance door. What will you find in the house, equipped to a high standard throughout: Downstairs: On entering the open living area you will be pleased to find a fully equipped, recent kitchen and appliances: induction hob, inbuilt electric fan oven, microwave oven, large fridge-freezer and dish washer. The lighting of this area has been carefully planned to provide maximum light for food preparation (spot lights, under unit LEDs) and softer/controllable lighting (again LED) for evening entertaining - the dining table and chairs comfortably accommodate six people. From the window to the side of the property you can see the church tower which is lit up at night. Moving on to the lounge area you can relax in the two very comfortable sofas and enjoy watching a new 55 inch flat screen TV with satellite channels, Netflix, Canal+ Cinema and Canal+ Sport. Brand new! Our large, bright and airy conservatory with dining table and chairs (for indoor or outdoor use), sofa armchair and coffee table. Leading off from the living room there is the master double bedroom with a king size bed (Simba mattress), built in wardrobe, chest of drawers and with a window facing east, perfect for a glorious morning sunny « rise and shine » after opening the electric blind. There is also a patio door which leads directly from the bedroom to the conservatory and the large terrace, equipped with a plancha and a bar-b-que for all fresco cooking. You can play boules/pétanque on the specifically made area for this below the terrace, relax in sun loungers on the artificially grassed area or by/in the pool (heated when required) with or without the whirlpool facility. Indoors again: The master bedroom also has its own ensuite with shower, washbasin and toilet – Jack and Jill style - with access from the bedroom and the main reception room. You will find the washing machine, travel cot, high chair, shelves and more in the garage which leads off the kitchen area. You are welcome to use our bikes stored here. Upstairs Two standard sized bedrooms: one with view of the Etang de Thau, a king size bed (Simba mattress) and the second bedroom with twin beds, a desk and chair. Both bedrooms offer plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. There is a family bathroom with bath and double wash hand basin. Separate toilet. PHOTOS - The majority were taken in May 2019 . Those of the main living area were taken in March 2020 and the side garden, pool and new conservatory in May 2023. General: Marseillan is, as yet, undiscovered (of the mass travel market) - a small port between the Etang de Thau and the Mediterranean. A charming, beautiful and unspoiled historic village standing at the entrance of the Canal du Midi, Marseillan offers both peace and tranquillity as well as many activities for visitors staying in our holiday home “Villa de l'Arbousier.” The village offers a full programme of events, festivals with music, concerts, competitions such as the famous jousting matches in the harbour, fireworks and craft markets throughout the year. There really are so many things to see and enjoy in the relative calm and friendliness of Marseillan – all of which make it is the ideal location for your family holiday. Marseillan is situated on the banks of the Etang de Thau, a large salt water lake and on which you can either hire small boats for self-navigation, take excursions with others around the lake in a motor launch visiting its famous oyster parks, and (even better) pay a small sum of money to join a handful of other enthusiasts on a full sized sailing boat for a day out fishing and “mucking about on a boat”! And Marseillan has its own 7 km long golden beach just 5 kms away (most of the “mass tourism” is here during the summer leaving Marseillan village in peace!) You can cycle to the beach along the excellent cycle paths.

The house is just a few minutes and an easy flat walk from the port and town. The house has everything you could possibly need. It’s very comfortable and every room has air conditioning. It’s in very in a very quiet spot and we loved sitting on the terrace watching the bats and listening to all the birds

We were very pleased with this property. The location was great for access into Marseillan village and the bus stops for trips to Marseillan plage and Sete. The property was very clean and well equipped and the air conditioning was great with the external temperatures being above 30 degrees during our stay. We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation when visiting Marseillan.

This is our second stay in this property, which has been enhanced greatly by an additional living area on the terrace and a small pool. It has everything you need, even if you are keen cooks as we are. It is steps away from the centre but quiet. We have visited Marseillan many times and love the beautiful, lively, village, the seafood and the way of life. Excellent communication with the owner.

This home is very accurately described and provides an ideal base for a family or friends who are visiting Marseillan. The house and gardens are secluded and tucked away in a quiet cull de sac, yet the town and port are only a short stroll away. There are numerous quality restaurants within easy reach, and this lovely old town is full of character. Fabulous beaches are within a few miles drive, as are other historic towns and villages, oyster & mussels factories and luxury spas. Our favourite place for a holiday, and this property is an ideal and high quality base from which to enjoy one.

Ruhig und zentral gelegen mitten in Marseillan

Tolles Haus an super Lage
Das Haus entsprach in jeder Beziehung dem Inserat und unseren Erwartungen. Auf der riesigen Terrasse kann man selbst im Herbst noch die Sonne geniessen.
Auch wenn man das Bassin de Thau "nur" vom oberen Stock sieht, finden wir die Lage toll: In einer ruhigen, privaten Sackgasse nahe Zentrum. Zwei Bäckereien, ein Metzger, ein kleiner Supermarkt, die Markthalle, ein Früchte- und Gemüseladen sowie unzählige Restaurants am Hafen und im Zentrum sind alle bequem zu Fuss zu erreichen; so kann man zum Essen im Restaurant ein Glas (oder zwei) des lokalen Weins geniessen, ohne klären zu müssen, wer hinterher fährt.
Sehr nützlich war auch die ausführliche Beschreibung von Marseillan mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und gastronomischen Highlights, die Julie uns zur Verfügung gestellt hat.

Très bon sejour à Marseillan
La maison est très bien équipée et entretenue. La piscine a été très appréciée des petits et grands. La localisation est idéale : 5min à pieds des commerces et du port de Marseillan ville. Ce fût une très bonne expérience pour nous et nous recommandons vivement cette location. Merci à Julie pour la communication avant et pendant le Séjour, tout était parfait !

Villa agréable, spacieuse, bien équipée, fonctionnelle. Terrasse bien exposée pour nos repas à l'extérieur. Nous avons apprécié la piscine ainsi que la climatisation. Nous avons apprécié la qualité de l’équipement de cette maison récente.
Notre séjour s’est passé en hiver et nous n’avons pas souffert du froid.
Également, la propreté de cette habitation était au rendez-vous. Beaucoup de rangements. Endroit agréable où on se sent bien. Bonne communication avec les propriétaires. Grande pièce à vivre agréable

Dommage pour la piscine
Belle maison, au calme, avec de bons équipements.
Par contre nous avons eu un problème car la piscine chauffée ne pouvait pas être chauffée car la pompe était en panne et n’a pu être changée durant notre séjour.
Nous aurions bien voulu savoir s’il était possible d’avoir un dédommagement par rapport à ce désagrément sachant que nous avions pris cette villa principalement pour la piscine chauffée!

Wir haben uns voll und ganz wohlgefühlt. Die Putzkraft könnte meiner Meinung nach etwas gründlicher sein, aber diese Kleinigkeit ist schnell behoben, weil ausreichend Putzutensilien vorhanden sind. Das Haus hat alles was man braucht und eine perfekte Lage mitten in der Ortschaft. Die Bäckerei ist gleich die Straße runter und zum Markt nur noch ein paar Schritte weiter. Die Klimaanlage und alle anderen Geräte haben super funktioniert, der Whirlpool war ein extra Highlight.
Die Coronabestimmungen sind wie in Deutschland auch, nur wenn mehr erforderlich ist, wie auf dem Markt oder im Hafen von Sète, wird extra darauf hingewiesen.
Wir hatten einen sehr freundlichen und unkomplizierten Kontakt zu Frau Kolbe. Durch den Schlüsselsafe und das Internet hat alles prima geklappt.
Einziger Verbesserungsvorschlag: In den Schlafzimmern wären Mückennetze an den Fenstern sehr schön, damit man nachts die Fenster offen lassen kann. Wir hatten tolle Ferien und bedanken uns bei Familie Kolbe.

Très bon séjour
Belle demeure. Juste un petit bémol sur la propreté du sol que nous avons renettoyé en arrivant et la façade du lave vaisselle un peu abîmée mais rien de grave.
Sinon la villa est jolie, très bien équipée, bien placée pour passer des vacances tranquilles en famille. Piscine bien entretenue, mention spéciale pour le jacuzzi.
Bonne communication avec Julie qui répond rapidement aux questions.
Nous recommandons sans souci.

wonderful vacation in mediterranean village
We enjoyed our vacation in Marseillan very much!! The house is quiet, clean, well equipped and well located, you can easily walk to the village centre, it’s just a five minutes walk. Marseillan is a beautiful, authentic French Mediterranean village with a beautiful harbor, nice little shops and restaurants and a wonderful market. There is a lot to see, you won‘t get bored, because there are also beautiful places to visit nearby. You can even go on bike tours there and the beaches are long and wide and exceptionally beautiful. You can find tourist attractions nearby - like funfair, karting, especially in Marseillan Plage, but if you don't like it, you can simply ignore it and find enough authentic French Mediterranean places, worth to see. The contact with the landlord was very good. All of our requests were answered immediately, even if we didn't get to know each other personally, because the Kolbe family doesn’t live in Marseillan in summer. The house is a row corner house in a new residential complex, the neighbors close, but very sympathetic and not noisy. It‘s great to have a small pool there, too. Small children just have to be careful, there are some stages built into the pool and they are a little slippery.
The terrace of the house is particularly beautiful, we spent a lot of time there! We‘ve had a great time in Marseillan!

Alles was meer dan in orde in het vakantiehuis Ook de locatie dicht bij de haven is een must. 2 kleine minpuntjes is de vrij botte en nieuwsgierige achterbuur(landbouwer) en ook het zwembad mocht iets groter zijn.

The rooms very well proportioned and would easily take 6 people.
The area brilliant very quiet but very nearly the centre.
We had barbecues on the patio, bike rides using the two bikes in the garage and hired others.
Lovely walks ,restaurants great and harbour lovely.

Great villa in Marseillan
We had a great week in this lovely villa. Quiet location with outdoor terrace but very close to town, port and all amenities. Presented and equipped to a high standard. Communication from the owner excellent.
We loved Marseillan centre and port, coffee, pre dinner cocktails and the many restaurants for food.
Great cycle paths along the Etang/Med - we cycled to Sete, Jet skied in Marseillan Plage and had a go on the inflatables at Cap'd'Agde amongst other things.
We hope to return next year

Perfektes Feriendomizil für die Erkundung des Languedoc
Wir hatten einen sehr schönen und erholsamen Urlaub in Marseillan. Das Ferienhaus entsprach exakt den Bildern und war sehr sauber und bestens ausgestattet, so dass man auch für sechs Personen kochen und gemütlich beisammen sitzen konnte. Sehr genossen haben wir die große Terrasse und den alten Mandelbaum, unter dem man wunderbar sitzen konnte. Marseillan ist ein wunderschöner Ort, nicht zu touristisch, nicht zu verschlafen. Alles, was man braucht, ist zu Fuß oder mit dem Rad in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Es gibt tolle Bäcker, mehrer Gemüsehändler, einen tollen Metzger, viele gute Restaurants und natürlich zahlreiche Gelegenheiten Muscheln und Austern zu kaufen.
Der kleine Hafen ist besonders am Abend sehr gemütlich. Der Radweg nach Marseillan-Plage entlang des Etang du Thau ist sehr gut und man ist in ca. 20 Minuten an den tollen Stränden von Marseillan-Plage.
Der Kontakt zu Frau Kolbé war stets sehr unkompliziert und ihre Antworten kamen umgehend. Wir haben schon viele nützliche Tipps vorab von ihr bekommen. Vor Ort ist Carole ein hilfreicher Ansprechpartner (sie spricht Englisch und Französisch), der sich um die kleinen und großen Nöte kümmert.
Die Schlüsselübergabe war durch den Schlüsselsafe genial, da wir auf dem Hinweg sehr viel Stau hatten und viel später als eigentlich gedacht in Marseillan ankamen.
Wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen!

Excellent Property
A good spacious house, with comfortable furniture and beds and equipped with virtually everything you are likely to need. Therefore you can relax, eat in or have a leisurely stroll to the village or the port for the bars and restaurants. We had excellent communication with the owners and the local manager was very helpful. We would certainly consider staying there again.
