This house is very convenient to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. However, as another reviewer commented there is a mildew odor and the air conditioner never worked properly (and dishwasher was broken) while we were there. The owners sent out a handyman who "unfroze" the condenser and it worked for about an hour after he left; we overheard him recommending that the motor be replaced but the owner said maybe "later". My husband got the A/C to work for about a half hour at a time by turning the breaker on and off and banging on the condenser. The owners response was to open the windows (no screens and it was very humid). Kathleen, the owner, promised a $50 refund because of the inconvenience but we never received it.

My family and I absolutely loved this property! It is a perfect size and a great location. There is a fire pit in the yard and we had a fire every night that it wasn't raining, this was a nice perk to our stay. Unfortunately, there are some pretty bad moisture issues and the entire house smelled like mildew when we got there. Fortunately, the homeowners brought over a dehumidifier which greatly helped during our stay. Also, the dishwasher, none of the remotes or the TV worked when we arrived, and one of the toilets was broken. The homeowners fixed the toilet, swapped out the TV, and gave us access to their netflix account while we were there, which was nice. I would love to stay there again. However, mildew is hard on your respiratory system and this makes me a bit wary of returning to this property. I appreciate the homeowners were willing to help with these issues while we were there, but it would have been nice to never have encountered the issues at all, especially since it took a day away from our stay.

We were a group of 6 adults visiting the area to see the Football Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. While not fancy, the property was clean and comfortable. Kathleen is an angel!

We enjoyed our three night stay at this lovely home. Although it is not "fancy", it reminded me of the home where I grew up. We had all of the basic essentials and my husband really enjoyed fishing in the pond, that is 30 yards away from the house. The home is very close to everything you want to do in Cuyahoga National Park. Also finding the awesome food and cold beer at Whitey's Food and Booze -- about 1 mile away from the house was a treat. Don't miss their chili.

A little criticism: Replace lightbulbs, add lamp to dresser in master bedroom to add more light to the room, fix garbage disposal - we had to buy (and left under sink) a plunger to use right side of sink in kitchen, add bed frame for double bed in one of the bedrooms, and add more cookware to kitchen, like a couple serving bowls and cookie sheets. Good points: rooms are clean, plenty of clean towels and blankets, soap, toilet paper, etc., comfortable beds, living room, kitchen. Will definitely stay again.

This location was PERFECT. It has so much to offer between the small town(s) in the area and the national park. This was the perfect location for my wife and I, our 9 month old, in laws, and two pugs while we were in town for a wedding. Trees surround the house and keeps it very quiet, the pond is a wonderful feature and as the rain fell we were able to build a fire in the main fire place and enjoy the cold temperature outside while being inside in the warmth! There is a Giant Eagle grocery store less than 5 minutes away :) The home had just about everything we needed to make meals, do laundry, and still have enough space for everyone. The master bedroom with half bath is on one side of house with the other three bedrooms and full bath on the other side separated by a living room and dining room. The hardwood floors, pictures windows, wood burning fireplace, and comfortable furniture made this truly our home away from home. HIGHLY recommend staying at this property!

Serene, quiet, relaxed. Love the house, loved the area. I highly recommend!

Pros: Comfortable and quiet, plenty of room for our family of 6, nice living room and sun room for just sitting around, Wi-Fi was acceptable, plenty of room for cars, nice backyard with fire pit and trail to a creek, plenty of quality linens and towels supplied, and a nice old house style. Cons: In mid-July, it was hot, especially upstairs. We notified the owner who had someone "fix" the A/C and it was better, but still could not get the upstairs cool without freezing the downstairs. This is common in older homes. The kitchen was well stocked, but a bit low on dishes and glasses. Minor details. We had a wonderful family time here!

We were in OH working nights and needed a quiet place to sleep during the day. This was perfect. Hotels can be loud and uncomfortable. Kathleen was very nice and easy to work with. Responded to all emails quickly. Would recommend and stay again if in the area. Thank you Kathleen.
