The unique experience of staying in the upstairs of a historic house converted/updated with great care and affection into comfortable accommodations. The furnishings are by local artisans, and the street where the inn stands turn very quiet at night. Many quiet eateries in the historic neighborhood.

If you’re visiting Kurashiki, this is the place you’ll remember long after you’ve gone home!
Beautiful, spacious room with lovely welcome drinks and snacks waiting for us on arrival. Situated in the heart of the historic district, it was the perfect place to stay and explore the area.
But the absolute highlight was the staff. They were incredibly welcoming, kind, and attentive, with so many thoughtful little gestures that made us feel like family. Their genuine hospitality made our stay truly unforgettable.
Without a doubt, this was the best accommodation experience of our entire trip to Japan. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

Temari Inn Yukikai is a gorgeous place to stay. Right in the heart of the Bikan historic quarter you have everything around you. Junko is the commensurate host, welcoming us and helping us settle in. So kind.
And you must eat at Sami restaurant for an incredibly special dining experience. One of the best meals we’ve had in Japan.
