Summary: This secret getaway is the back unit of a duplex and is nestled in the center of Columbus but secluded from hustle and bustle of downtown. Relax on the back porch, or soak up the natural light flooding the inside of the apartment. It is only a short walk from downtown and 15 minutes to Fort Moore. If traveling with a larger group, you can rent both halves of the house! The fireplaces no longer work, but they add to the historic character of this great home! The Space: This is the back unit of a duplex; 2 bedrooms/1.5 bathrooms home sleeps 7 and is a perfect place to get away. The beautiful heart-pine floors have been refinished, the windows let in tons of light, and the beds are super comfy. The fireplaces no longer work, but they add to the historic character of this great home! Enjoy cooking in the fully stocked kitchen and gathering around the TV in the living room. During your stay, you will have full access to the back unit; the front unit is rented separately. Please inquire if you are interested in renting both together. Guest Access: Guests will have access to the entire home! It is a town home, but both units have their own entrances and are completely separate. This unit is located in the back with it's own private yard, fire pit, and . The Neighborhood: You will love this quiet street right next to downtown restaurants, bars, and the riverwalk. All downtown attractions are within walking distance, and Fort Moore is just a short drive. Getting Around: You can walk to everything downtown, and the post is just a short drive or uber away! Other Things to Note: We require a signed rental agreement and for guest to be 25 years of age to book. We are a pet friendly home. Pets must be crated when they are left unattended in the home. We do not allow pets on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned up from the yard. All pets require a non-refundable pet fee. If there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this. In the event that a security deposit is collected, we will retain all or part of the security deposit to cover any costs associated with additional cleaning due to pets.

Older, classic wood home with very convenient amenities. High ceilings and spacious rooms. Water very hot. Full size everything: fridge, dishwasher, stove/oven, washer, and dryer inside the large kitchen. Fast wifi. Quiet neighborhood. Nice, little bbq area in the back. Perfect for our visit w/ family during our stay, the purpose being to attend a Basic Training graduation at Ft Moore.

We enjoyed our stay in this home. Our only complaint would be the walls between the front and rear units are super thin. Our neighbors were very angry that they could hear our conversations in the evenings. The driveway to the rear of the unit is narrow and parking in the rear is tight for more than one vehicle. There were a few minor cosmetic issues but nothing that stood out or affected our stay. We will stay here again.

Totally loved the area this house was in. Super great for walking around and even better that my dog could come. But.... the bathroom has black mold growing on the walls and the bath mats were super gross. There was a lot of garage on the back porch and that probably why I thought I heard rats in the house. There was not coffee filters or coffee. And the dishwater is lacking. But other than that the house was super clean. Just needs some love.

We were there for an OCS graduation. Nice little place to stay for a couple of nights. Place is older but charming. Even though it’s a duplex you would never know there was someone in the front part of the house. Super clean! Appreciated the fenced in back yard for the pups. Owners were very responsive and kind. Amenities were nice. Would have liked one more seating option for comfort, but we made due. If we would have stayed longer this might have mattered more. All in all would recommend this property for its location, cleanliness and great hosts.
