Where do I start... First, the home was very difficult to locate. The Street the home is on is not listed on any map, including the one that was given to us by the rental car agency. It is not even listed on Google Maps. Once we finally found the street, there is no sign at the home designating it as the VRBO home. We had to ask several neighbors before we found the right property. We had arranged with the host to check in early, which she said was fine. She said the home would be left unlocked for us, but this did not happen. We called the host (very expensive phone call) and she informed us the guy who was supposed to unlock the home was out on a boat and it would be a couple of hours before he could get by to unlock it. A smart lock would certainly be helpful. When we finally got in the home we found it was infested with both ants and cockroaches. Luckily the host left ant/bug spray in the home. A business down the street was blaring extremely loud music with vulgar language. Certainly not appropriate for our 9 year old to hear. The loud music went on until past midnight. A pack of wild dogs were barking outside of the home most of the night. We slept very little due to all the disturbances and the fact I was on my phone trying to find a new place to move to ASAP. Unfortunately everything was showing as booked. The next morning I dropped my family at the beach and drove around to different resorts asking if they had a room available. This is not how I would like to spend my first day of vacation but I had no choice. I was not going to let my family live in these conditions for another night. Luckily I found a resort with one room left and immediately booked it. I messaged the Host to let her know we were moving out and the reasons why. I requested we be refunded for everything other than the one night we stayed there. She did refund a small portion of our total fees but nowhere close to what I believe to be fair, considering the unsanitary conditions. Obviously, I do not recommend anyone staying in this home.

We really enjoyed staying at Jasmin's place and spending time with people that live on the island. Everyone was really helpful. We rented a car from her neighbor which was super convenient and simplified getting to the beach and around town. The bedrooms are comfy and the air conditioning is nice. We can't wait to stay here again!
