Villa Blü was completed in 2019 and is a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath home with each bedroom designed as a private primary suite with both fans and air conditioning and their own signature bathrooms. Each with an exquisite ocean view where the sea meets the sky. The upstairs bedroom is King bed only where as the downstairs bedroom has the ability to convert from a King bed to two separate twin beds. The villa offers a clean, soft contemporary design with a modern touch. The home is fully stocked with everything you require in a home away from home. This includes a fully equipped kitchen with a gas range, a convection wall oven and microwave, washer, dryer, high speed secure WiFi and a security safe. A propane BBQ is available outside the patio. A comprehensive guest book is available upon entry that will outline the local restaurants, farmer's markets, and activities that you may wish to explore. Casa Keepers, our available concierge service, will provide you with helpful, essential details for your tropical escape. This panoramic view and luxury accommodation fifteen minutes away from Uvita, is only accessible to those adventurous enough to traverse our 4x4 jungle road.

We have been visiting the Uvita region for 10 years. This was one of the best villas and experiences we have had. The owners are extremely responsive (Thanks so much Brenda!) & the property manager, Trina (& her assistant Jorge) are always most helpful! The accommodations were simply excellent. It is obvious that Brenda & Alf also stay and use the villa as there was not much missing relative to the amenities (this makes a difference versus places that are solely for rental use). The view is spectacular! Great pool and patio area. The mountain climb is one of the toughest in Uvita but that is something that we love! A sincere "thank you" to Brenda, Alf, Trina and Jorge for a wonderful vacation stay!

We had an amazing stay. The communication throughout and the recommendations were on point. Sometimes when you arrive the pics are better than the reality. Not here. The view of the whales tail was magnificent. The tukans visited everyday and the howler monkey's were a great alarm clock.
The pool was great and they had good floating toys for us to use.
Don't let the road scare you, it wasn't as bad as we expected but we are offroaders so it was typical for us.
There was construction next door which they warned us about and said they would accommodate if it was too much. We were not around much in the day to notice and at night it was so beautiful we didn't care .
The host recommended KURA and the view from the restaurant was top notch.
We will stay here again.

This stay was in October. We stayed for 9 days. October is the rainy season. It rained almost every night we were there. We didn't have power from from sunset untill 830 am for the first four days. No fault of the property owners, just the situation of the rain causing downed power polesand trees falling on power lines et cetera.

The road up/downhill requires defenitely a 4x4. But that only adds to the experience! Super.

We stayed at Villa blue for five nights June 4th-9th with my husband and kids 9 and 5 years old. We had the most wonderful time! The house, the area, the owners, the caretakers everything about it was perfect! We found the road up to the house fun and exciting, you pass by a small waterfall. We rolled down our windows each time to take in the sounds. The views from the house are breathtaking. The first morning my daughter and I spotted a toucan in the tree on the property. My kids were hollering back at the howler monkeys. It was hysterical. Brenda was spot on with all of her suggestions for things to do in the area. Some of the stuff we really enjoyed was; Jungle ATV rentals, horse back to Nauyaca falls, Sierrpe River tour, Whales Tail beach, Uvita beer gardens (owner/food/location are awesome), Uvita falls, Playa Ventanas beach. Only FYI is the tile on the patio can be slippery & the AC is only in the bedrooms. The house opens up nicely for a breeze & we didn’t use any bug spray the entire trip! Thank you Brenda & family for allowing us to share a piece of your paradise! We rate this home a 10++

Alf, Brenda, and the local team were very courteous and attentive to our needs. The house was beautiful (even better than the pictures). Calle Bejuco was an interesting, and somewhat challenging drive to the property (about a 15-20 minutes from Hwy 34), but well worth the travel. We highly recommend this property and look forward to booking our future trips to Uvita at Villa Blu. Thank you Alf, Brenda, Trina and Jorge.

Myself, my husband, our 15 year old son and 11 year old daughter recently spent 7 nights at Villa Blu and truly had a trip of a lifetime! This property and the area it is located is simply magical! The house is so clean and beautiful and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The bird watching far exceeded expectations! We highly suggest taking a pair of binoculars to get the best experience, maybe even two pair depending on how many of you there are. The views cannot be beat! When low tide comes in and exposes the Whales Tail it is spectacular. When reading the reviews, listen to what they say about the road. It is very steep and if you have the means and can contact the car rental company, try to get a newer vehicle just for peace of mind, but DO NOT LET THE ROAD SCARE YOU AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY! It is worth it! You are completely immersed in the jungle and the sounds of the howler monkeys and birds every morning and night were one of our favorite things. We made sure to be back to the house before sunset each day just so we could take advantage of the beauty around us. There are so many things to do near Uvita but we did go to Manuel Antonio a couple of times which is an amazing place to see. One day we hope to return to Villa Blu, every part of our experience was incredible. Thank you Brenda, Jorge and Trina! You were all amazing! We made memories that will last forever!

This villa was stunning & the view was breathtaking. The ride up to the villa was challenging (4x4 vehicle is a MUST), but once you make it up to the top, you won’t regret your decision & it will be worth it. Brenda was very accommodating & easy to get a hold off.
Jorge & Trina were great at making the check in arrangements.
The villa has absolutely EVERYTHING you can think of & that you need. One of the most complete houses we’ve ever stayed at.

Words can’t really convey the view, or the thoughtful design and gracious hospitality of our hosts. There is so much to do in and around Uvita that we didn’t get as much time at the property as we would have liked, so my best recommendation is to build a day in where you do nothing but sit by the pool and watch the birds. We did run into a few hiccups while we were there but Trina, Jorge, and Brenda were nothing but helpful and responsive.

I could go on and on about the location of this home and the incredible veiw, but let me tell you about the house. The hosts, Brenda, Alf and Casakeepers have thought of everything a person could possibly need and stocked it in this home. The kitchen has every appliance, utensil and gadget possible. It was better than what I keep in my kitchen! The convection oven was wonderful! Huge fridge with every condiment was in it. We never needed air conditioning in the upstairs bedroom as the breeze and the sound of jungle, ocean and weather flowed through the room to wake to an incredible view of the Whale Tail. Internet connection was good at the house, but you don't really have a signal while driving from Route 34 up to the house. Be aware that the drive up to the house is rough, very bumpy and longer than you would think. Just look at all the jungle plants and trees and amazing views during the drive and it is all worth it. You must have 4 wheel drive. Don't take a chance thinking you will make it up in anything less than 4WD! There is very nice washer and dryer under the upper level bedroom w/detergent!! Hot water for showers with good water pressure. I could keep going about all the little touches that make this house better than home, but I would write a small book! Oh yeah, they provide many novels, fiction and non-fiction to read while you are there. I know I'm forgetting more details, but suffice it to say that this is the best vacation rental that we have stayed at, and we will be back! The property and view are even more amazing than what the pictures can show. The house was plenty of space for our family of 4. And, Brenda and Trina both reached out to ask how we would like the one bedroom beds for the kids configured before we arrived. From the second we booked, Brenda communicated with us all that we needed for our trip, including giving us a great travel planning site (mytanfeet.com). Closer to our stay, she checked in and made sure we had Trina's info, the property manager. Trina also reached out and had her partner, Jorge meet us to take us up the mountain road to check in. He was super friendly and made sure we were all settled before he left (including making sure we could connect to wifi!). When they tell you to rent a 4x4 car/truck and grab groceries before you go up, listen! The first time we went up the road, we were a little scared we might not make it! Some parts are so super steep. After that, you get used to it but only want to go down and up once each day. We would have lazy mornings there enjoying coffee from the lounge chairs while using our binoculars to bird watch. I could have spent my entire day in that spot. Our favorite things to do during the day was the waterfalls and Uvita waterfall at the bottom of the hill was the favorite! We also did the Nauyaca waterfall hike - moderate to strenuous but worth it! In the afternoons, we tried to get back before dark and managed to catch a sunset one night thru the trees. It rained more than we anticipated but didn't really interfere with our plans. It was enjoyable in the evening. This property was so relaxing. You couldn't hear any noise except for birds and howler monkeys, maybe construction in the far distance. But, no neighbor noises! It was absolutely the perfect way to end our 2021 and highly recommend.

Exceptional view of the Whale’s Tail! Sunsets that will wow you! Excellent communication and service. Trina was lovely and she even helped us to make reservations at a nearby restaurant - our favourite meal on our journey so far! The villa was clean, comfortable, and spacious for my husband and I and our two teen daughters. The wifi connection was excellent. My only caution for others is that the road leading to the villa is unlike any road we have travelled on in CR - be ready for an extremely rough, steep, challenging climb with tight turns. For us, the stunning location was worth the drive. Thank you Brenda, Alf, Trina, and Jorge!

From day 1 booking our stay at Villa Blu Brenda was so responsive and helpful to us. During the month leading up to our trip she was lovely and full of information about the house and things to do in the area. Upon arrival, we met with Jorge who we were grateful for to guide us up the mountain to the beautiful villa. Wow the first ride up the mountain was a memorable evening. After driving up...and down that mountain a few times you get used to it. But a 4x4 is an absolute must!! The villa is nothing short of spectacular. The pictures on the site do it no justice. It is clean and absolutely gorgeous. The view was stunning, day and night. It is like a painting. The whale's tail is incredible. Definitely take the short drive to visit the Whale's tail at low tide. It is the most magnificent place in Uvita. You can't put in words how incredible walking on the whales tail is.
My family enjoyed swimming in the pool. My sons (10& 7) loved it, especially the table & chairs in it.
Trina was very helpful throughout throughout our trip and so sweet to chat with. Trina and Jorge were so pleasant and kind. They were extremely accommodating.
The house's kitchen is fully stocked with all your cooking needs, tons of spices & pots & pans, blender, coffee machine etc. I will dream about enjoying my morning coffee watching the sunrise over the gorgeous infiniti pool. We spent 10 days here & enjoyed each and every one of them. The restaurants in the area were good. Our favorite was Al Chile que si.
I highly recommend the ride to Manuel Antonio for a national park & or beach day. The beach is incredible there. El Avion restaurant is delicious, reasonably priced & the view is incredible!!
I highly recommend staying at Villa Blu we would definitely return.

Our stay at Villa Blu was amazing! We wanted to visit Uvita in the raining season and It was truly spectacular. Waking up in with ever changing sky after a night rain was spectacular. Our daily walk up the hills was blessed by a beautiful little waterfall. We are going back! Thank you to Trina and Gorge and our host Brenda and Alf for their immediate attention. We visited for one week in Aug-Sept. We were met at a gas station at the bottom of the hill and then were guided up to the house. The road is fine but you do need 4WD. The house is beautiful and well-designed to allow breezes with wide open glass doors and screens facing the pool and the incredible view of the Whale tail. The pool is great for keeping cool. We saw lots of wildlife around the house. We barely needed any air conditioning. The appliances (stove, dishwasher, clothes washer and drier) were a bit tricky, but it was not a big deal. The house has everything you need and more. The local grocery down the hill has delicious fresh fish and fruit, which we ate every day. We very much enjoyed our time in this wonderful house in wonderful Uvita and hope we can return.

The house is beautiful and well-designed to allow breezes with wide open glass doors and screens facing the pool and the incredible view of the Whale tail. The pool is great for keeping cool. We saw lots of wildlife around the house. We barely needed any air conditioning. The appliances (stove, dishwasher, clothes washer and drier) were a bit tricky, but it was not a big deal. The house has everything you need and more. The local grocery down the hill has delicious fresh fish and fruit, which we ate every day. We very much enjoyed our time in this wonderful house in wonderful Uvita and hope we can return.

My fiance and I spent a week at Villa Blue working remotely and relaxing. it was AMAZING! The view from the property is out of this world. We’ve traveled all over and this was the best rental experience we’ve had. The house was clean and elegant with enough character to make it interesting, but super modern and open. The wifi was great, and the house was fully stocked with every kitchen appliance and comfort you need. The yard was full of butterflies, flowers and even toucans!It IS a drive up that hill, but we did it once a day for random adventures, getting groceries, etc, and it was fine for us! It’s part of the jungle experience. Trina was so wonderful and thoughtful, and Alf and Brenda, as well. They took such good care of us! The house is in the perfect location near enough to uvita and the beach (and we did a snorkle trip to Cano Island which was amazing), but high up in the mountain where you feel like you are on top of the world and the temperature is cooler and the breeze is amazing. We loved every second, doing yoga and meditating by the pool, cooking and eating on the patio.I can’t say enough about this property! Thank you, Trina!

What a lovely and well-appointed home. We enjoyed our eight day stay here in the mountains above Uvita. It has great views of the Whale's Tail and the town below. The road does require 4x4 and is steep, but very manageable for daily trips down and up. The town of Uvita has two groceries, many restaurants and is centrally located between the surfing village of Dominical and Ojochol's fine dining. The home had an amazing kitchen that had everything we could have needed. We loved the extreme cleanliness, the beach/pool gear, and the comfortable couch!! The Uvita waterfall is a must see and right down the road. Also, during our stay we heard the howler monkeys, saw capuchin monkeys jumping through the trees, and saw and heard a variety of birds like toucans, guans, and macaws. Finally, anything that we needed or questions we had, we're quickly addressed by the caretaker, Trina. Definitely would recommend this home for a mountain view with a short 15 minute drive to the beach.

Modern Mountain Oasis
What a lovely and well-appointed home. We enjoyed our eight day stay here in the mountains above Uvita. It has great views of the Whale's Tail and the town below. The road does require 4x4 and is steep, but very manageable for daily trips down and up. The town of Uvita has two groceries, many restaurants and is centrally located between the surfing village of Dominical and Ojochol's fine dining. The home had an amazing kitchen that had everything we could have needed. We loved the extreme cleanliness, the beach/pool gear, and the comfortable couch!! The Uvita waterfall is a must see and right down the road. Also, during our stay we heard the howler monkeys, saw capuchin monkeys jumping through the trees, and saw and heard a variety of birds like toucans, guans, and macaws. Finally, anything that we needed or questions we had, we're quickly addressed by the caretaker, Trina. Definitely would recommend this home for a mountain view with a short 15 minute drive to the beach.

We have stayed at quite a few homes in the area and this was the best. The view and home are amazing and we saw tons of birds. Very cool watching the Toucan family playing in the trees above.
