About this house rental
Located in Cape Paterson, this charming house for $219 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Located just off Surf Beach Road. You can leave the car parked and relax. The house is a short walk to beaches, shops and the local tavern. A children's playground is just a short walk away. This spacious house would be ideal for a large family, two families or 4 couples. There are four bedrooms (two with queen beds and built in robes, one with two single beds and a built in robe, and one with a single bunk, and a queen bed).The master bedroom has an en suite. There is a large open plan living area upstairs opening onto a balcony. The modern kitchen has a stainless steel oven, gas hot plates and dishwasher. Reverse cycle air-conditioning will keep you comfortable. There is a second spacious living area downstairs. A rear covered entertaining area is located in the fenced rear yard. A table tennis table and a small pool table is set up ready to play. There is a carport and off street parking for four cars. You will need to bring your own linen and towels. Doonas and pillows are provided. NBN Wi-Fi is available. Cape Paterson The town is small, quiet and friendly and has a a general store with fish and chips, and a tavern which serves great food and cold beer. Cape Paterson is approximately 150km from Melbourne. It is 8km from Wonthaggi and 13 km from Inverloch. There are six beautiful beaches at Cape Paterson so take your pick. The Bay Beach and Surf Beach are patrolled by lifesavers during summer. At the Bay Beach there is a specially made rock pool perfect for swimming and children. There are walking and bike trails along the coastline. There is excellent surf and rock fishing. The Bunurong Coastal Drive between Cape Paterson and Inverloch is breathtaking, with the spectacular Eagles Nest. Enjoy shopping in Wonthaggi or a visit to the State Coal Mine. Bring your bike or have a run on the rail trail from Wonthaggi to Kilcunda. Inverloch showcases great cafes, restaurants, beaches and specialty shops. There is a two night minimum stay.

A Great location in Cape Patterson
Thanks Sharon for your efforts in providing such a comfortable house, with everything we needed. The sea breeze on the top verandah was lovely. Well done too, on displaying photos of local landscapes.

Love this place
Great for an extended family!
Our 3rd year staying here and we hope to be back again!
We love the close proximity to beaches and shops and the upstairs living area is ideal for us all to gather in the evenings and play board games and just hang out together.
The garage out the back is such a bonus to play table tennis and pool.
Sharon is a great host and always responds quickly to any messages.

Loved our stay the extras supplied coffee pods, soaps etc are much appreciated and make the arrival very welcoming. The garage play room is awesome. Location is very good and the house is nicely furnished and very well equipped with blender, pod machine wifi speaker etc.

Ideal Family Getaway
This is the 2nd year we have stayed here and it is a great house in an excellent location!
The large upstairs kitchen/family room is perfect to spread out on the couches or sit around the table for board games. The garage with the table tennis, pool table and soccer table is a bonus for cooler days/post beach time
BBQ, outdoor shower, full laundry and a bonus downstairs TV room just add to the features
Communication with the host (Sharon) is easy - I always get a quick, helpful response
Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Best time we've had!
We've been coming to stay at Cape Paterson for over 10 years and this is by far the best place we've stayed in. Sharon was so easy to communicate with which made organising easy. The location of the house was super close to the beach and shops that we didn't use the car all week. The house was spotless and the beds very comfortable. We will be definitely booking this house again!

Lovely home for families
We enjoyed staying at Anchors Aweigh. Sharon is a good communicator and everything was as described. The location is perfect and the home has excellent natural light with windows at all points of the compass upstairs. We look forward to returning soon.

Great house and location.
My family had a wonderful time at this property. The house was clean and well equiped. The games shed, games and DVD's were fantastic. The location was fabulous... great walk to the beach and short walk to the cafe and local pub. short drive to Wonthaggi. We would definitely love to go back there, especially in Summer.

Great family weekend getaway
Perfect for a weekend getaway for a couple of families. Toy cupboard and selection of kids books/DVDs together with the games shed kept the kids happy. Short walk to the beach. Great open plan living space with plenty of natural light. There is no bath tub but that’s only a small inconvenience for those with little ones. Hope to be back!! Thanks :)

Fantastic house
The house and location is truly the best we have stayed at in Cape. The owners were so generous with everything, the house is well equipped from the kitchen to the games room ,nothing was missing! We had the best break and send a big thank you to Sharon and her family! Kind regards Deirdre

Amazing property for a family getaway
We had a wonderful time at this property. They had everything we could possible need, plus much more. The house was so baby/toddler/child friendly and we loved being so close to the beach and local shops. We're definitely hoping to go back again soon!
