About this cottage rental

Nestled in Muskoka Lakes, this charming cottage for $278 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Come enjoy this bright open concept cottage, located in Walker's Point on Lake Muskoka. The cottage is nestled amongst 150 year old pine trees. It has 4 bedrooms, with a view of the lake from the kitchen, dining room, living room and Master bedroom. There is over 200 feet of waterfront for you to enjoy! There is a large deck that crosses the front of the cottage, where you can relax and enjoy meals or watching children play. A traditional gazebo is situated near the water for your enjoyment. There is a play centre, a swing set, and a horseshoe pit along the far side of the cottage. We supply all the paper products (toilet paper, paper towels), linens for the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms, as well as the wood for the fire pit. Off season: 2 adults $330 per night; extra guest fee of $65 per night. (plus HST) after the first 2 adults. We are trying to encourage families, therefore we do not charge for children under 12 years of age. The cottage can accommodate 7 adults. Summer months (July 2 to Sept. 5, 2022) minimum rental of one week: $5,955. (Please note: when booking, if renting in the summer months, please only put in one guest, so as not to be quoted the extra guest fee. However, you are still limited to 7 guests) Sorry, we do not allow pets. We provide the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen linens. We also provide paper towels, toilet paper, and serviettes. We also provide 2 hours a week of a cleaning service in the summer weekly rentals, so that everyone gets a vacation. Please, no smoking, no pets, and no diving from the dock. Minimum age of rental is 25; renter must have home insurance that covers their stay at a short term rental venue. Names and addresses of all guests must be supplied prior to commencement of the rental. No other guests allowed without prior approval of the Owner.

This sunlit, spotless, roomy cottage is equipped with all amenities to make your vacation a truly memorable one! No need to worry about kitchen supplies, linens, or accessibility -- there are no stairs, there are two 4 piece baths, 4 bedrooms consisting of a queen, double, two twin and one twin bed (not just pull-out sofas), and it's super easy to cart in your luggage from driveway to door (lots of parking, too!). Ken and Tara are a great duo who ensure ease of booking & prompt replies. Ken (and a charming carved bear on the porch) welcomed us with a smile and a small orientation which saved us from searching for necessities. There were absolutely no issues (plenty of heat, water is drinkable), and our group of mid 60's women had a wonderful time! The grounds are private, the views are serene and picturesque, and it must be utterly amazing in the summer. Do not hesitate to book this cottage before someone else does!! It's a 10+!!!

Absolutely fabulous week. Cottage is very clean. Gorgeous sunrises in the morning. Tara and Ken are wonderful hosts and make you feel so welcome. Cottage is very well equipped with books and games.

My husband and I loved this property. It was very clean and had all the staples for cooking, cleaning. The bed was very comfortable. The host was very thorough showing us around initially. When we had a problem with the tv he was very helpful in explaining what we had to do to get it to work. He was there to clear the snow for us. After booking the host answered all my questions in a timely fashion. It was a wonderful relaxing two days. I would highly recommend this property.

Tara’s place was wonderful. As a host she and her husband are very communicative and accommodating. The home was well appointed and had everything that we needed. The cozy fireplace and incredible views from the window made it all worth it. We would stay again.

This was that perfect getaway. We were lucky to get such good weather in the off season. Cottage is beautiful with tons of space ! Waking up early to see the sunrise was worth it. The lake was really nice. Bbqing while the sunset was also a joy. They have a little playground that my son enjoyed. Ken and Tara are amazing they made sure we had everything we needed and were one call away ! Thanks for having us!

I wont make this too long, but Tara and Ken were amazing hosts. Very clear in their instructions and extremely welcoming. The cottage itself was so spacious and clean. The lake was beautiful and although it was cold during our stay the dock was still beautiful to stand on and gaze across the lake. I can only imagine how amazing it would be during the summer months. If you're looking for a peaceful stay in Muskoka, Tara and Kens cottage is the perfect place!

We recently stayed at Tara’s cottage for a family weekend getaway. The property was spacious, clean and beautiful. Situated on the lake, the cottage has everything you would need for a perfect stay. The host was welcoming, friendly and responsive. We will definitely come back for a longer stay in the future.

The property is just as described; clean, comfortable and relaxing. Tara and Ken met us at the driveway, showed us around and made us feel welcome. The 4 days were exactly what we needed, spent hiking the local trails, sitting on the dock and napping on the comfy couches by the fireplace. We had an excellent stay - just the vacation we needed after months of lockdown. Tara and Ken were great hosts who answered all of our questions and were easy to get a hold of. The property is as great as advertised - beautiful lake view, great dock, spacious house. We spent hours at the dock swimming and watching the ducks go by (a mother and her 6 ducklings) as well as a loon and a crane one morning. The lakehouse was great for us, our family and our two young children. Very family friendly accommodations with extra games, high chair, play tents and beach towels available. Highly recommended.

We were thrilled to book this property for a working vacation. The pictures on line do not do it justice. It is immaculate and views from the livingroom, bedroom and kitchen were amazing. I sat on the top deck writing report cards looking at the lake beyond my screen which provided a much needed stress free way to end my teaching career. And the view from the dock surpasses any expectation you might have.

My husband and I recently stayed here with our 2 kids (7yo and 4yo). We had an amazing stay on this property. The view is UNREAL with amazing sunrises over the lake. We enjoyed hanging out and fishing off the dock and hiking the many trails that were just a short drive away. Highly recommend checking out Walker's Point Lookout for sunrise and Huckleberry Lookout for sunset. Will definitely try to return for another visit soon and we highly recommend this property!

We had an amazing stay at this property. With three young children, it was a perfect location and had amenities the kids enjoyed (swing set, boardgames, playhouse etc). Quick 10 min drive to nearby hiking trails to enjoy the outdoors. Property was large, private, very clean, organized and had everything you needed to have a comfortable stay. Owners were thoughtful and wonderful hosts. We hope to come back again!

Tara was a great host who met us when we arrived and showed us around and explained what we needed to know.
