It had everything one would want in a house and more! If you are looking for the beach experience of a life time, you will find it at Ocean Splendor. A week here will feel as though you are in the comfort of your own home, but with the advantage of a beach at your doorsteps. This is a great place for a retreat or a place to entertain. The options are endless. That's why we have several families that have been vacationing with us over multiple years. Endless Activities: Ocean Splendor accommodates the most relaxed to the most active. Want to snuggle up to a good book? There is no better place to enjoy a good book at either the beach, the pool or one of the decks overlooking the gentle waves of the Atlantic. Prefer to exercise? A home gym could start you day, then off to swimming in the heated pool. The afternoon could be set aside for a long walk on the beach and a game of pool to respond to those competitive juices. Prefer to spend the day cooking a gourmet meal? The kitchen is designed for that. Sub Zero and Wolf stainless steel appliances makes cooking an memorable experience. There are two large bedrooms on the main living floor and five other bedrooms on the first floor. Six of the seven have private baths. Privacy : Want a place to spread out and spend some quiet time? You can literally get lost in this home. With over 10,000 square feet of house and decks, there is plenty of room for even the largest of groups. Absolutely wonderful home. Had everything we needed, plus comfortable beds which is always a plus! Highly recommend for large groups. Spacious and well appointed.

The layout is perfect for all ages. The chef kitchen is more than amazing. Due to food allergies we cook in. All 13 of us watched the World Cup and the kids watched movies and ate popcorn just like a theater. The walk to beach with all our setups was easy and the water is amazing. Pool great to come and relax. Having the elevator to arrive and leave with everything was so easy. Thanks Allison for attending to all our questions and concerns quickly

8 adults & 8 kids (7 under age 6) had a fantastic week - the kids loved the media room and so did the adults when the kids were in there! This house has everything you need and is in very good condition. We had one question which the owner resolved immediately. This is a great house for an extended family. Everyone took turns cooking a night in the very well equipped kitchen. Everyone loved it!

This was our third time to Ocean Splendor but 7 years in between stays! The house was still in impeccable condition and the owners are so very nice and always available. The house is perfect for a large group to cook, play on the beach, or in the pool! We have already rented again for 2024!

Beautiful home on the water. We were a family of 14 and had plenty of room with 7 bedrooms, fully stocked kitchen with 2 refrigerators, stoves and sinks, theater room directly off the great room, very child friendly, fun pool, plenty of rocking chairs on upper deck and direct access to beach. It had it all and we loved it!!

The kitchen is so well appointed with two refrigerators and two dish washers, loads of counter space for groups that love to cook together. We love the way the home is decorated. Looking forward to next year, it’s the best way for our family from around the country to unite and relax.

This place was amazing! Our multi-generational family gathered here for a week, and loved every minute. The place was EXACTLY as beautiful as the photos depict. The kitchen and indoor/outdoor gathering spaces are spacious with plenty of comfortable seating. The pool was clean and was in constant use helping all of us "beat the heat." The walk to the ocean was easy, and the shore was only sparsely populated. We felt like millionaires every day - especially when we walked the beach at sunset. Thanks for an epic vacation!

We were celebrating birthdays of 80, 60 and 30. What a magnificent property. It had all the amenities as home. 2 refrigerators, 2 ovens, and plenty of dishes, as well as pots pans. The setup of the bedrooms along with bathrooms in most bedrooms. The pool and hot tub were absolutely wonderful as the beach was very windy. The theater room was an added bonus. The location was perfect. Easy access to the aquarium and grocery store and we even were able to ride our bikes to the grocery store. The elevator was helpful when moving luggage and groceries into the house. Lastly, when we had a few Lilly’s issues the house manager was easy to reach and very responsive to our needs.

Ocean Splendor is the perfect vacation home for our family!

The house was great for a family reunion that included an infant and 4 & 6 year olds. Close to the ocean, private pool, great kitchen, amazing porch with rocking chairs and much more. All bedrooms were good sized. Kids especially enjoyed the movie room. We appreciated the child proof gates at top of stairs and around the pool.
Owners were attentive and prompt to reply to questions and a few minor maintenance issues.
Food Lion and restaurants are close by. I personally never left the house- didn’t want to because it was so relaxing there.

We have a family beach trip every year at this house. It is wonderful and the highlight of my year! The owners are lovely and responsive. The house has everything you need for all age groups, from high chairs to an elevator. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I just can’t say much because we ended up leaving early, our granddaughter became critically ill. We were in 2 hospitals then rushed her home to be admitted.

Our third extended family stay and we will definitely be back. The patio, the pool, the ocean front is perfect for everyone and every age. Large living room and dinning area perfect for a family who loves to dine, wine, and celebrate together. Highly recommended!

Our family (all ages) loves this beautiful and enjoyable beach home. Outstanding setting and view. Functional and convenient layout that encourages being together while still allowing room for privacy. Great kitchen appliances and features. Excellent location and access to restaurants and other activities. We hope to return many more times.

The home is beautiful and very well appointed with uppercrust kitchen and other facilities, but the home was roach infested which quickly changed the atmosphere. We started seeing them in the kitchen in the evenings and then Tuesday night one ran over my adult sons face. We called the house manager and they had the bug man come on Thursday. The roaches did a mass exodus and then the porches and patios were full of them. We found dead ones by Friday and then on Saturday the straw that broke the camel's back was when my 19 month old granddaughter handed my son a half dead roach. That did it! My husband and I left Saturday. According to the bug man, the house isn't sprayed but every quarter. IT SHOULD BE DONE EVERY WEEK TO KEEP THIS SORT OF THING FROM HAPPENING. Additionally, the house is in need of a good painting on the outside, There were light bulbs missing from lamps and others needed replacing.

We absolutely loved our week in the gorgeous Ocean Splendor home. It was so well equipped for all ages but especially for young children and babies. We had everything we needed and more. The pool, beach, porches and elevator were perfect. We can’t wait to go back next summer.

I just wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our week at Ocean Splendor. It was perfect for our extended family and everyone enjoyed all the amenities - the adults especially enjoyed the movie theater, even though we never watched a single show. We would put all the kiddies in there after lunch or dinner, and it gave all of us at least an hour of quiet to have adult conversations without the kids running around and interrupting - that room is a great idea! Of course, the pool was a hit as well when the kids got tired of the ocean. With my mom staying just down the street, it was great to have her join us for dinner almost every night - she is 93, and too proud to try out the elevator - she handled the steps just fine!
