About this house rental

Located in Orford, this attractive house for $145 per night is a great option for your next break. Enjoy picturesque views of West Shelly Beach whilst relaxing with a hot cuppa or a nice glass of award winning Tasmanian wine. For those that don't want to relax there is plenty to do with easy access to the beach or go for a short stroll to the restaurants along the waterfront track. There is something for the kids with a playground close by that caters for all ages. We offer free NBN via WiFi if you choose to stay connected, or you need it to keep the kids occupied for a while! There is nothing like the ambience and warmth of a wood heater during the cooler months however you also have the option of a heat pump for both the cooler and warmer months. The main bedroom has a queen bed, second bedroom has a queen bed plus single bunks and the third bedroom has a single set of bunks plus a double bed. The main bedroom has an all new ensuite that was added in December 2019 and the main bathroom was also totally renewed. All of the creature comforts are provided for you to just enjoy your time away on holiday! Beaches, restaurants, playground nearby Orford offers a a couple of restaurants, a hotel with bottleshop, a well stocked IGA supermarket, a golf course, sensational beaches, a purpose built waterfront walking/riding track plus all of the nearby attractions such as Maria Island.

We couldn’t have had a better stay. Relaxing and homely just a short walk to beaches, rocks and walks. House is so well appointed and a pleasure to unwind and relax in. Was a truly restful stay.

My friends and I really appreciated the spaciousness and well appointed house. The views were peaceful and restful. All that we needed was supplied. The kitchen was great for meal prep. The lounge, bedrooms and bathrooms were laid out for comfort and relaxation. Would return in a heartbeat.

A perfect place to relax with the family for Easter. Great space and comfy beds with 2 bathrooms. In walking distance of beaches, parks and shops - a great location that worked really really well for our family over Easter :-)

It was a lovely stay with newly renovated bathrooms, a big kitchen space and front room which would also suit families as well as couples. It’s also close to Maria island. However I noticed that another door at the front would not lock, only the front fly wire. So would feel more secure if this was fixed. I would also suggest putting a blind at the front door which was clear glass. The house had everything you would need for a comfortable stay and had beautiful scenery.

We had a great stay. Everything is on hand for a comfortable stay. The bathrooms are very nice with great showers. We lit the fire which kept the lounge cosy. Overall comfortable.

Good location . Great lounge space & bathrooms though sinks are tiny. Enjoyed our stay. Second bedroom was a bit tight with all the beds in it and could do with a bit of a spruce up. Also struggled with lock box to get keys but overall very good.

The Shack at Shelly's is not an accurate description as the house has everything you could require for fulltime occupancy.Heaps of beds,2 x excellent new bathrooms,all modern cons with windows attracting sun all day.Wood heater or heat pump,WIFI,Netflix Comfortable furniture and spacious ,fully operational kitchen facilities.

Had a lovely time at the shack, plenty of space, lovely view of the water and sunsets, a few minutes walk to a lovely beach. Very comfortable beds and a big tv. Being fully Fenced was also a bonus so our three year old was contained. Also well stocked with basic kitchen things and a big fridge and freezer. Owner very communicative and helpful, we will be back

Had a fun time staying here. Beds were comfy. The fire for heating was a delight at night. Lots of hot water for 6 of us. Bathroom could use with an update. Facilities in kitchen good, although many things needed to be washed first also including the outdoor BBQ. The staples in pantry were helpful (salt/pepper oil etc) A little further from Scorchers restaurant (1.9km) than we realised but a good walk all the same. Close enough to the beach. Host was very helpful and contactable at any time. Later check out provided (1pm).

The view from the living room windows has to be seen to be believed. It creates a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere and the sunrise and sunset was stunning. The home is well appointed with a fully equipped kitchen, full size fridge, etc, and the beds were comfy. We felt truly welcomed and it was a 'home away from home'. A few games for the kids and some interesting books for the grownups is a nice touch. Highly recommended.

We had a group of 6 stay for a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty of parking,family friendly would definitely stay there again.
