Had a wonderful time fishing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, sitting on the porch watching the dolphins swim by. Two items I would recommend updated TVs as we could only watch the same things upstairs as the down stairs tv had on, also we had some issues with the internet.. we had some storms and buggy nights which forced us inside. Overall would definitely visit again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week, from relaxing on the porch watching the Dolphins, other wildlife and the ships go by to swimming, canoeing, and sitting on the beach. House was beautiful and comfortable and nearby towns nice to visit. Only problem was the week went by too fast.

We keep coming back! Great location. Nothing fancy but good size for 6 adults and 3 small children. Lovely stretch of beach. To be honest cleaning staff could be better but overall we love it here.

Perfect place for a family getaway.

Perfect weekend getaway for our family! The views were spectacular and the water was lovely. With young kids, I especially loved how shallow the water was all the way out to the rock barriers. We even saw 2 pods of dolphins our last morning there. Highly recommend this house!

We absolutely loved staying here for my daughters first birthday. The house was perfectly set up for my husband and I, our 3 and 1 year old and my parents. Everyone was so comfortable. For my daughters birthday we had several family members that live in the area over to celebrate and everyone was amazed by the location. The yard walks right out to the beach and the water is shallow for days!!! The kiddos had so much fun splashing around and the parents could actually relax a little. We had some internet issues when we first checked in and the owner was super responsive and helpful. And it ended up working fine. Cell service is pretty nonexistent tho, but worth it for the beautiful location. Gorgeous sunrises out the back windows every morning if you have a 3 yo that insists on waking up at 6am on vacation. Great water & beach toys too for grown ups and littles! We hope to make this a yearly trip!!

This property was perfect for our family including , adults and young grandchildren. The water was warm and shallow and the grandchildren had a great time. The adults used the canoe and kyack and paddle board. We could all eat together at the large table and enjoyed the privacy of our own beach. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

Super location, great space to come together as well as have down time. Got to watch a pod of dolphins from the porch.

The location of this property is awesome. Right on the water - very private. We really enjoyed our visit. Bugs were the only downside of the trip so be sure to bring spray.

It was good except there were so many biting flies outside and no toilet papers and trash bags provided. Overall, was a great stay.

Roomy house, right on the beach which is very private.

We spent a memorable week just an hour and a half from Richmond! The Chesapeake bay was breathtaking and it felt like a ocean view! We prepared and ate all meals in (that doesn't sound like a vacation but we love to cook) The kids loved the sandy beach and calm waters for kayaking. Shopping one afternoon in Kilmarnock was a success! There is also a complex called The Compass about 20 min away with mimi golf, rock wall, games, and much more!! If you are a TV internet fan beware only TV in living areas (two) and spotty phone service. Its a perfect place to unplug!!! Lots of steps up to the home no problem for us but my elderly mother struggled a little. For all your sweet people beware the Mosquitoes will carry you away!!! Run don't walk to this amazing vacation home!!!!!

We had just a great and relaxing time! This home is beautiful as well as the property. It was everything we were looking for for our family to just be able to relax and have peace. We will definitely be back.

It was our third stay at this property and we always enjoy it thoroughly. It’s a great location and the size and layout of the house is perfect for us. It’s a nice roomy house with lots of windows that look out onto the bay, and a very private beach area. Perfect for small children. Those are the things that are important to us and keep us coming back,

The views from the back porch/living room/dinning room are absolutely fantastic. The size was exactly what we needed to be able to relax with our large family. With that being said, we did have some issues with cleanliness, bugs, internet/cable, quality of cookware and some other things but the host was very friendly and receptive to our concerns and quick to resolve them. Bottom line the house was very very nice and overall we enjoyed our stay but it is not a luxury home.

The three large bedrooms and baths were perfect for our group of three couples -- and there was still another bedroom for kids equipped with two sets of bunk beds. A very large kitchen and separate 10-person dining table and two Family rooms (one on each floor) completed this amazing space. There were some ants and the Family rooms and dining room were not as clean as we expected -- we brought this to the attention of Diane and she was very responsive. Overall a nice place -- and a 10 min drive from the stores and a few restaurants in White Stone -- including the Chesapeake Donut Company (well worth the stop!!). We ate at Willoughby's on the Rapahannock (about 30 min away) for terrific ribs and a great sunset.

We enjoyed our stay here at Windmill Point over the holiday weekend. The kitchen was well-stocked. Our large family had plenty of space to spread out. The sunrises were phenomenal.

The house looked clean but there was an issue that we had to deal with that was addressed with the property manager the day we left and we received a reply that left us a little disappointed at the lack of concern on her part. However, she always replied to any questions that we had so that is appreciated. Hopefully the issue gets addressed before the next renters arrive. There were times that the TV had no reception but it was an unusually windy few days, so that was taken into consideration. All in all, the house was fine and at a great location.

We had a wonderful weekend away at this house -- plenty of space, and a beautiful location! Unfortunately, when we arrived, the cleaners had not come through and never showed up the next day like promised. But, the owner was incredibly communicative and gave us a refund for a night and the cleaning fee. It was an unfortunate start to the weekend, but nothing to keep us from returning. However, I wouldn't bill this house as a luxury rental -- many of the bedrooms needed fresh paint, the bed linens, and the pillows and towels should all be replaced. But, it was a great location, and great to enjoy time with our kids and not be worried about anything they could break/destroy. As long as you aren't expecting a luxury set up, you'll enjoy it!

Late writing this review from August, but my family traveled there with 2 couples 4 children under 5 and 2 grandmothers- this house gave everyone the perfect beach vacation. The house was spacious and allowed everyone space and privacy with a bonus’s room upstairs that was perfect for the kids to play while adults cooked and enjoyed space downstairs. The beach was gorgeous - soft white sand and the water was still and shallow allowing the kids to play freely! Water toys- paddle boards, kayaks and canoes allowed the group to enjoy different activities and there was a small yard for the kids to enjoy backyard games as well- although it was buggy but to be expected! Ran into a few issues with the house that were minor and the host was quick to respond and work out a resolution! My 3 year old has been asking when we are going back to the beach house since we left- thank you for sharing your home! We are hoping to return next summer!

Fishing was great!! The view was very beautiful!! Watching dolphins and birds very nice!! General location was great, very private!! We overall very much enjoyed ourselves and it was a nice home but….these are some problems that should be addressed. Dryer upstairs does not get hot; the master bath upstairs had only one out of five lightbulbs that worked over the vanity and the shower light was out; water pressure not good upstairs; Peeling drywall and visible water damage to walls, windows, and ceiling on both floors, and ceiling currently leaking in bunk room and could not use one of the bunk beds due to being wet; a hole was punched in the door to main bedroom on first floor; refrigerator/freezer did not work; maid service not that great, we had to mop the floors when first arrived, there are cobwebs in corners throughout the stairwell in the living room and kitchen, the house needs to be repainted, dinning room chairs are very uncomfortable, metal, and narrow. The beach was nice for sitting at the shoreline but not usable for any fun or physical activities. Water shoes a must because of the roots and stumps that are scattered throughout the beach/shoreline. A full plastic gas can was left at the beach. The property itself is very wet and swampy which is probably why the bugs are bad and you really cannot walk from the front to the back without having to walk through muck; the storage area under the house is very muddy; outdoor grill very dirty and only two burners worked.
