The hotel was centrally located and a short walk from restaurants, bars, and the art museum. It was nice, new, and clean. My standard double room had recently been renovated, and it was spacious for a business hotel. There was a sliding door between the bed and the bathroom, which made it seem like there were two separate rooms. The staff were cordial, and there was free coffee in the lobby. The onsen was the nicest I have ever experienced at a business hotel. It had both indoor and outdoor baths and a sauna.
Even though the onsen is on the roof, when using the outdoor baths, noise can be heard from the street. When bathing late at night, that meant hearing drunken people talking loudly. This detracted from the serenity of the onsen.

The hotel's location is excellent, with a supermarket, restaurants, the fish market, and a bus stop all nearby. It is also within walking distance of Hachinohe Station.
The breakfast was very good, and the complimentary evening noodles were a delicious bonus. The onsen was relaxing and well maintained, with free ice cream available afterward. The free laundry wash were another thoughtful and convenient amenity
The reception staff had difficulty communicating in English.

Good breakfast spread.
Check in unpleasant. We arrived an hour early and were not allowed to register first. So at check in time, we had to wait in queue for a long time. What a waste of time. The staff was not cooperative. She could have just checked us in first. We would not have gone to the room as it was not ready.
