Location

Location was great - so easy to connect on foot or by tram - perfectly positioned on a canal and with an amazing nearby restaurant (called Red, truly 5* restaurant), just 30 metres away. Garden view from our Frans Hans apartment (openable) windows was amazing. Staff were very helpful and quick to respond via WhatsApp and met us personally on arrival to show us to and through the apartment. Could also arrange additional supplies of essentials on WhatsApp. Great hosts and very helpful, also stored our cases on departure until our pick-up time. Location so good to get around Amsterdam. We walked lots but you could also take a tram at the end of the street direct to Amsterdam Central station.
Very minor issues but just to be considered and aware of (1) no lift and very steep stairs (2) the size of the bedroom, possibly the smallest ever we have had in Europe ! Very comfortable bed but moving around the room was very tight. Didn't spoil our stay at all, just providing this information as a balanced and honest assessment.

We were on the first floor. It was a very large apartment with a beautiful street view and a high ceiling. The rest of our group was on the very top floor. There was plenty of room in our apartment for the 8 of us to cook and eat together .
The top floor apartment was 88 steps up (but it had a lovely terrace!)
