Beautiful caldera location, easily accessible by car/transport, very well maintained, picturesque!
One suggested improvement would be lighting the steps in and around the property better as a safety improvement. At night they can be difficult to navigate.

Julia at reception was awesome - she booked great places at the restaurants, helped us with car rentals and did her best to make our stay perfect. Strongly recommend!
One day the big pool in front of our room was booked for a private event - wedding. It spoiled the stay a bit, but in general I can't say anything bad about the hotel.

The best things about Robacella are the incredibly friendly and helpful staff (big thank you to Christianna and Nick) - and the stunning views. The hotel is in a great location with an amazing view of the caldera.
I experienced issues with cleanliness, hot water not consistently working and the hotel is need of general repairs (light fittings falling off of the wall, cupboard panels broken, holes in curtains, broken plunge pool panels etc).
Much more attention to detail is needed to make this a real 4 star experience and to ensure the environment truly reflects the website and promotional video/photos. Not having complimentary daily water was surprising to me, no mini bar price list (I had to ask for this) and so many elements of the hotel being run down. You should also carefully check your dates before booking. If you’re coming during the ‘winter period’ there is no bar, restaurant or reception available after 4pm (even though the T&Cs on Booking.com shows 5pm), which means you cannot have dinner in the restaurant or a drink in the evening. There was also no room service and I was unable to have lunch sent to my room. Guests booking during this period should be actively told (not just assume they’ll read the small print on their website/booking provider) about this information and confirmation should be sought that they understand the limited operation before coming. I overheard other guests expressing the same disappointment when hearing about the reduced services.
