This place is lovely! The rooms are attractive, the grounds are beautiful, and the pool a welcome respite after sightseeing all day. The breakfast was excellent, with real coffee made to order, as opposed to those machines we found everywhere else we stayed. We would love to come back and stay longer. The establishment has a spectacular event center/wedding venue adjacent as well as a very upscale and pricey dinner restaurant (completely gluten free!) where the food was absolutely amazing, though quite pricey.
Our room had a small kitchen which allowed us to prepare meals. Just a word of warning, if you are booking through Booking.com, they will list a level of room as having a kitchenette, but only SOME of those rooms have the kitchenette. I thought I had reserved a room with a kitchen, but the room I got didn't have a kitchen, so I had to pay to upgrade to a room larger than I needed. If a kitchen is important to you, contact the establishment directly to ensure you get the right room.
Other reviews mention that the building can be noisy. This is a very old building with hard surfaces everywhere (walls, floors, ceilings). I was awakened every night by some neighbor arriving late, and making noise. But I soon fell back asleep. This just comes with the territory....the charming old building isn't very soundproof... if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs. I also read a review that someone was upset about the location because they were relying on taxi's/public transport. This really is a place where you need to have your own car to get around. There is nowhere near where you can safely walk to go shopping or out to eat. The one issue we struggled with was the WiFi. It was unsecured and very unreliable. According to the management, this service instability was due to recent storms.

Our group of 11 people had a wonderful time! Great location - close to Florentine but feels like worlds
away from the busy crowds. Pristine grounds, refreshing pool, attention to every detail, great service, awesome breakfast, friendly smiles all around. Ask about a restaurant right around the corner - makes it one perfect getaway. Definitely want to come back! Grazie mille

The property in reality is like a 4 star hotel but is only marked as 3 star hotel. We absolutely loved the premises of the property. Everything was scenic and the breakfast was really varied and outstanding.

Friendly staff and a nice setting
I travel often, but I can't remember ever having such an uncomfortable room in a hotel. My room was divided into three levels. When you enter the room, you have a large area that felt like a "lobby" or waiting area. There was a tiny desk and two tiny chairs. I have been in more comfortable and warm doctor's office waiting rooms. The bed was up a flight of stairs from there and had no windows. The bathroom was DOWN another flight of stairs from the "lobby". To get up to use the bathroom in the night meant navigating two flights of stairs. In the "lobby" area there were two tiny chairs that may have been comfortable for a child, but an adult man of 6' 200 lbs could barely fit into one, never mind be at all comfortable. I brought in a metal chair from the patio but eventually decided to simply go to bed because there was simply no place to sit and relax in the room. The grounds are pretty and there was a nice walking path, but I would probably have been more comfortable sitting in my car all night. It's a shame, as the staff were very welcoming and I had been very excited about my stay due to so many positive reviews.
