We had booked a tent in the desert the first night and a room in the hotel the second night. They recommended it was too hot in the tent and upgraded us to the suite in the Dune House instead. This is a stunning room in a building behind the hotel, right next to the dunes with lovely views of the dunes. It is very well set up with fridge coffee machine etc. however even though we kept all of the curtains shut all day and the A/C on all the time it was still very hot in the room. We were given our meals on shady terraces overlooking the dunes. Excellent breakfast and delicious dinners. The staff were lovely and looked after us very well. In the main building of the hotel the pool is great with cool refreshing water and lots of comfortable seating in the shade. The rooftop bar serves cold beer if you ask in chilled glasses but the view is not so good. We organised our camel ride which through the hotel which was fun, but take some cold water with you as They don’t provide any.
The hotel owner who we hadn’t yet met, came running out shouting at us as we were about to go on our camel ride at 7.30pm on the second evening very angry as we were still there and someone else had arrived who had booked the suite we had been upgraded too. He kept shouting at us complaining that he had upgraded us etc while I looked up on my phone to show him the messages I had received from the hotel confirming twice that we had booked for two nights . All of the staff we had spoken to since our arrival had known we were staying for two nights. We offered to move rooms or pay the extra for the upgrade. But he just stalked off saying to enjoy our camel ride. He never apologized for shouting at us for their mistake. He told the couple who missed out on the suite and all the staff that it was our fault still. However they didn’t charge us any extra in the end. Luckily the rest of the staff were lovely but be sure if you book the Dune house that you have triple checked the booking as the owner actually told the honeymoon couple who missed out on the room that this has happened 3 or 4 times.

Staff were really great, were so helpful and kind. Great location backed onto the dunes. Lovely size pool and overall nice setting. Handy having the bar as drinks were needed regularly for the heat.
Ac not working in one of the two rooms. 2 ac's in the room - 1 did not work at all and the other very little air. All had to sleep in the same room on the second night as we could not cool down the room. Luckily the other room could accommodate everyone

Wifi was spotty. All the lights in our room were on one switch so it was either very bright or all dark — a small lamp or two would have been nice.

Good points: - The pool area is really good to relax - The grounds are nice and well decorated and Maintained - The dunes are really close, we just walked out to them and watched the sunset on the dunes instead of riding camels. I also walked out at night to star gaze. - The room was clean with good air-con - The breakfast was to a good standard. Only let down was there no coverings for the jams which quickly allowed flies to walk all over them - Some of the staff were very friendly and chatty. they were very polite and continually sought that we were enjoying ourselves - They offer excursions out into the desert which can be planned at short notice and tailored to suit
Bad points: - on the first night we were given a choice of 3 options for dinner, we had the meatball tangine which was really nice. Then on the second night we weren’t given an option and were given left over food from the night before. this which was apparent because it was a mixture of the three options the night before. There was also overcooked pasta with cream cheese and oregano for a middle dish which was tasteless. I’m sure the intentions were in good faith but you travel to morroco to experience Moroccan cuisine. Especially if you are not given a choice for the meal. Probably my main dislike of the stay. I also had a bad stomach the next day which is annoying. - Coffee bar was not open - No cash machine (states it has one) - No shop (states it has one) - No room service (states it is provided) - No currency exchange (states it is provided) - Food is not available 24/7 I think the venue should be honest about what it can provide. I booked the hotel based on the amenities it stated it could provide.
