If I re-visit this location, I would stay here again.

Rooms were comfortable. The food was good and they served a lot of it. Location was just right for our needs. It was nice to have our own showers. We requested two rooms next to each other which they gave us. The rooms were quiet.

I did not know the Japanese language. It would have been helpful if someone on the staff knew some English. Next time I come to Japan, I plan on learning some key phrases to help me communicate to the locals.

Good For A Short Stay

The hotel was close to the railway station. The size of the room was big and comfortable to use.

The check-in counter was on the second floor and the staff there appeared indifferent to people entering or leaving the hotel. WIFI was available but the speed was dreadfully slow, which made it nearly impossible to access the Internet or check emails.

I had a valuable stay, for a decent cost.

Close to Tanabe station. Available parking. Quick check-in.

Smell of smoke in the lobby/elevator. Small towel.

Friendly staff, only a short walk from the station, inexpensive, good breakfast included.

Great Location for your Kumano Kodo trip

Choosing this place since we are catching the activites for log rafting (Ikada Kudari) at Okutoro area. Clean and good for your Kumano Kodo trip for Seigantoji Temple and Nachi Falls too.

The room has a bit of damp smell. However, overall is good

And excellent choice of hotel which exceeded expectations when I first saw it was only 2 stars.

This is an inexpensive, small family run hotel reasonably close to the Kii-Tanabe station and Kumano Kodo bus stop. While not luxurious, it is very clean, well organized and more than adequate for my comfort for the 4 days I stayed there. The staff were friendly and helpful. English was slow but the message got across. Breakfast was very good, both Western and Japanese. The omlette was one of the best I have tasted. Well recommended if you want a more intimate hotel well worth the money.

I am 83 and partially disabled so climbing in and out of the bath to shower was difficult. Otherwise, no problems.
