This was by far our favorite accommodation in Japan, and one of my favorite stays ever. From the moment we arrived, we knew the experience would be fantastic and special. Before getting out the car, we were already greeted by kind and helpful staff that carried our luggage and gave us an introductory tour. Throughout the stay everything was thoughtfully handled and planned, making it all easy and enjoyable. The baths were beautiful and relaxing and never crowded, provided indoor and outdoor options, and we enjoyed our private onsen attached to our room. My partner has several food allergies and the chef was extremely thoughtful and accommodating for both dinner and breakfast, providing alternative but delicious options. The dining room is communal but has private booths for each party to maintain privacy. Overall, the property is quiet, peaceful, relaxing, and everything you can hope for in a mountain retreat. We highly recommend it!

The staff’s hospitality, friendliness, and helpfulness! We also liked our room, very spacious and has a traditional feel but also got the modern luxury with the Japanese toilet. We loved the private indoor and outdoor onsen and also the available public onsen and family onsen. Dinner and breakfast was also great, food was to our liking and servers were attentive. They have a baby chair provided for our 6-month old which was very thoughtful. Check in was smooth, and staff helped us carry our luggages to our room. It was raining during check out so they also helped us with umbrellas back to our car. I would stay again, but next time for 2 nights at least because we weren’t able to maximize the facilities due to our short time there.
