Terra dei Limoni is peacefully located among beautiful lemon groves in south-eastern Sicily. The property is attractive, clean and well maintained, especially charming when illuminated in the evening. There is private parking, food on site and easy access by car to nearby beaches and towns.
There are two lovely pools – one chlorinated and one saltwater. The coffee was excellent, with a great selection of cakes and pastries, while the rest of the breakfast was a fairly standard buffet.
Despite the beautiful setting, we felt the property lacked a little character and atmosphere. After staying in several places around Sicily, this was probably the least memorable.
Value for money could also be better. Pool towels cost extra, there was a limit of three drinks per person before additional charges applied, and drinking water at the cottage cost €0.50 per refill. Small amounts individually, but together they gave the impression of being charged for unnecessary extras.
Our cottage also lacked basic kitchen items – strangely, there was a ladle and rolling pin, but no kettle or drinking glasses.
Another small frustration was receiving three virtually identical, unlabelled keys for the cottage and entrance gate. The gate must be opened manually each time, which feels unnecessarily inconvenient for such a modern property.
The peaceful atmosphere was sometimes disturbed by extremely loud guests around the pool, occasionally causing others to leave, while staff did not seem to intervene. We also found one member of staff rather uninterested and unwelcoming, with very limited English communication.
Overall, it is a beautiful and relaxing property with plenty of potential, but several small details prevented the experience from feeling as special or memorable as we had expected.
Extra charges for small things, poor value for money, missing basic kitchen equipment, inconvenient key/gate system, occasional excessive pool noise, lack of staff intervention, and a general lack of character and atmosphere.

The setting within the lemon trees is lovely. The pool areas are beautiful and serene. The location is great for beach days, visiting Noto or surrounded areas (by car). We enjoyed a few relaxing days at the property and loved the delicious breakfast. Staff was very helpful.

Wonderful salt water pool Everything elegant and well maintained Good breakfast.
Room decor was a little stark no decoration and extremely bright lights. With lovely weather you won’t spend much time in room so not a big problem

The property is very unique with lemon trees all around the apartments. It has 3 very beautiful swimming pools and a very nice restaurant. The breakfast was amazing, we had lots of choices for food, the staff was very helpful. The rooms very very clean and we had lots of privacy. One of the biggest bonuses is that the property provided us free reservations of luxury beach sunbeds 30 min away by car for the whole day.
There is a beach nearby but it’s full of people and not very clean so even though there is a beach nearby, we never went there. But this is just a notice, the hotel provided us with a beautiful beach just further away.
