We stayed in the private quarter which is across the road from the main hostel. The room was beautifully decorated, spacious and clean. The bathroom was also lovely, really great shower. The neighbourhood suited us well, lots of great places to eat on the doorstep and close to fantastic cultural attractions.
Not really a negative but just incase it is important to people to have a view/window, our room didn't have a window you could see out of, it did open but we wanted to keep closed for mozzies. Didn't negatively impact our stay at all- just for info!

We arrived late at night but the hotel had advised that someone would wait for us. Actually, our room was in an annex across the street. The room was spacious, overlooking the alleyway. Decor was cute, industrial chic. After dumping our stuff, we rushed to catch last orders at Thipsamai (next door) for excellent padthai. The next morning, we woke up and walked downstairs right into Raan Jay Fai for their famous crab omelets. At night time, the area is very nice, with temples and palaces all lit up.
The annex had an old steel cage elevator that seemed out of order. So, be aware that there are stairs - the 3rd floor is the top floor.

The location is perfect, within Walking distance of great restaurants and cafes, the temples too. Safe and clean area. Within walking distance of Khao San road too. The man who checked us in on Saturday night was very sweet and took his time with us.
It wasn’t totally clean, needs a good deep clean, see photo of sink. Was the same in the shower. Needs a good bleaching everywhere and not just a wipe over. Also the shower drain stank a lot. Also the hotel is quite noisy, could hear everything going on in other rooms and the landing too. Also the cleaners were nice but one morning I woke up to hearing them clean and hawking back phlegm. Over and over. Maybe get a tissue? Just not very relaxing.
