The buildings were very beautiful and matched the scenery. There were so many plants and it was all maintained so well. Everything was perfect!

A beautiful retreat in the heart of the rice fields with incredible views. The room was amazing and it was such an interesting experience to stay in a traditional northwestern tribal home. The staff were super friendly and even helped us get a last minute taxi during one of the busiest travel days of the year in Sapa. The retreat is not a standard hotel room as it is a traditional style building with mud walls and a bamboo floor which is why it's so great. The terrace view is unmatched and having a bathroom with a shower and bath is the icing on the cake. It's about a 10 min taxi ride into Sapa town, and you can walk there too but it's a 6k/1h 45m uphill walk along a busy road. There is a beautiful long hike you can take from the retreat, down to Lao Chai and along the river to Cat Cat village also. The restaurant has lovely breakfast options and it's great to have the option to eat lunch and dinner there too.
Food was ok but the flavors were a bit safe in my opinion. Sapa is a very popular tourist destination so maybe the menu has been simplified to please a wide variety of guests.

The staff was awesome! Very helpful and kind.
The bungalow's flooring has large spaces througout, making it uneven. I anticipated seeing bugs because of this, but thankfully it may have been too cold. Non the less, the flooring is what threw me off. The bungalow was colder in the winter but we had a space heater. Possibly ok for more adventourous travelers, but I was uncomfortable.
