About this house rental
Located in Lake of Egypt, this attractive house for $386 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Fish, swim, go boating, or just relax & soak up the sun at this comfortable 3 bedroom, 3 bath ranch home on a gently sloping lot ( no yard stairs) with a dock (with electric) & a private sand beach. It's located in a quiet cove off the large part of the lake ( ski area) only minutes from rt. 57 in a peaceful setting near the golf course . There is a fire pit with firewood down by the water & the beach has reclining lawn chairs & a sunshade. 6 kayaks are provided for your use & also a floating Lily Pad island. The wrap around deck has 2 seating areas & a gas grill. Inside, the kitchen has all appliances including a dishwasher, garbage disposal & microwave. Dishes, pots & pans, a Kuerig dual coffee maker that takes k-cups or makes a pot, an air fryer, popcorn popper, a 4 slice toaster, mixer, blender, crockpot ,all utensils and even a salad spinner. The dining table seats 6-8 and the peninsula has 2 stools . . French doors directly across from the table take you to the side deck (wrap around) which has an umbrella table & chairs for outdoor dining . The front deck has a gas grill & more seating & faces the lake . Below the front deck is a patio right outside the walkout basement. Each of the 3 bathrooms has a shower , one has a tub shower & double sinks. The sunken living room has a gas fireplace, a large flat screen tv , blu ray DVD player with movies & a great view of the lake ( all 3 TVs have Direct TV. ) The master bedroom has a king sized bed facing the French doors to the back deck. You can see the lake from the bed. The master bath is off the bedroom. Bedroom no. 2 has a queen size bed ( sleeps 2 ) & bedroom no. 3 has a full sized bed ( sleeps 2 ) A full bath with double sinks & a shower/ tub combo is at the end of the hall. The partial walkout basement has a daybed with a trundle with 2 twin mattresses ( sleeps 2) a tv & a 3/4 bath. The main floor laundry room has a washer & dryer. The house has central air & all the bedrooms plus the kitchen & extra seating area have ceiling fans. There are cards & board games inside & corn hole ( bags) , yard dice etc. Outside. Stayed at this home for a long weekend with three other friends for fishing. All of us over 60 years old. This home was awesome and I would highly recommend it for any group of guys who are theirs to fish Lake of egypt.

We had a great time! We enjoyed our time fishing, swimming, floating the the lake, and laying on the beach. We even took in a Thrillbillies game. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a low-key get-away. Elaine was available if we needed her and was responsive. House was clean and well equipped with anything you would need in the kitchen. Definitely one to return too!

What a fabulously comfortable lake side retreat. The home was beautiful and perfect for our group. It was as if Elaine had thought of our needs before we did. Very clean and modern and large enough where we all had enough space to relax and enjoy each other. So fun!

Elaine always does a great job with this property. This is our second time staying here. She personally sees that everything is provided for her guests. She takes extra care to make sure the house rules are followed to make everyones experiences great vacation. The property is well appointed with everything you might need, especially the kitchen. Extra disposable plates and bags/aluminum foil/ dish soaps were all provided which is great! You will prolly not need any kitchen items besides your food.
There was plenty of parking for our 3 vehicles and a short walk down the backyard to the dock and beach. ( rare on the lake!)
We had three families stay and enjoyed the perfectly warm lake, we rented a boat from the marina and we easily navigated it to the dock. The property is tucked into a small no wake zone in the middle of the lake. We played at the beach and caught fish with playdo. She provided popcorn s'mores and fire wood which was such a nice touch for the kids. Bring your fishing poles if you have em! Lots of fish are in the lake. Also water shoes if you are weird about them nibbling at your feet or seaweed where it gets deeper.
The house is stocked with board games yard games and kayaks. Everything you need for a stay/lakecation. The downstairs is a perfect area to put the kids with its own little bathroom.
We just had to put a few decor things up bc we had little ones and didn't want them breaking anything.
Bring bug spray because the mosquitos and bugs might think you are tasty.
There is a dollar general nearby that also has a small grocery section if you happen to forget anything. We also ate at the mexican restaurant at the marina and enjoyed a night off cooking.
Would definitely stay again hopefully next summer. -thx!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Our kids had a blast in the sand, the lake, and the kayaks. The beds were comfortable and the home was clean, and very charming. One thing I would make sure families with little children know is that it was hard to tell in the pictures how low the fence was between the yard and the lake; our 2 year old was taller than the lowest part of the fence and was easily able to climb the fence so we didn't feel there was a child safety protection between the house and the water.

Enjoyed everything about our stay. Location was great, beach was wonderful and house was comfortable. Even with the rain we enjoyed a comfortable long weekend. Staying at the property on the beach and in the yard was peaceful and just what we needed.

We had a great time at this property and loved floating/hanging out at the beach and dock. Everything was very clean and there was so much to do we barely left the house!
Our only complaint was that the host was on the property (weeding the beach) for much of the evening when we first checked in. She was very nice and we very much appreciated her weeding the beach but we also would have enjoyed the privacy had it been weeded prior to our arrival.
But even with that it was a great experience!! 10/10 would recommend

This was our first trip to Lake of Egypt. When we arrived we were greeted by the host. She is very kind and welcoming. The house was very clean and accommodated 4 adults and 3 children very comfortably. Host provided many extras with the house which made the vacation enjoyable. Kayaking was great and the fire pit at night was perfect. We definitely look forward to heading back.

Lovely home - well stocked and clean
This is a really nice, very clean, roomy home. Elaine, the host, is very friendly and has a great eye for detail. There were many thoughtful touches, for example, the fire pit by the lake had already been prepared with firewood and kindling so all we had to do was light it and make s’mores from the s’mores kit. That was our favorite memory. The house is very well stocked, including the kitchen, plus lots of towels and supplies for the lake. Everything you need is already there. I would definitely rent again.

Single step up main level, easy acces for 90+ year old.
The house was well setup for any age. The entry was a single step up and all of the main areas were on the same level. There is a sunken tv room, but we never really needed to watch tv. The wrap aruond deck wa great for sunrise and moonrise viewing. The private sandy beach with a shade-sail and chairs was a big hit. I cant think of anything we needed or would change about the location.

Even Better Than Advertised!
This is a fantastic house on the lake. There's too many positives (and no negatives) to list them all, but a few are: the property manager (answered questions leading up to and during the stay), the location on the lake (whether it be swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking or boating, not all places allow for all as easily/safely), the sand beach (the niece/nephew loved building sand castles), the yard and deck (play catch, play bags, or have a fantatic view while you watch).

A wonderful Place

We arrived to a beautiful home located on lake of Egypt with beautiful views . We rented a pontoon from Weiner rides and had a magnificent time on the water considering a lil cool. Altogether it was an awesome time and would definitely book this house again !!

We’ve used a lot of VRBO homes in multiple states over the years and I can definitely say this is one of the nicest and cleanest homes we’ve ever stayed in! The beds were SO comfy and I need to find out what mattress the kings size bed is because it was the first time my back didn’t hurt in the morning! The owner, Elaine, takes pride in her beautiful lake house and it shows in how well kept everything is. It’s also so well stocked and we didn’t need anything! The weather was bitter cold almost everyday we were there so there was a LOT of indoor time but we still had so much fun and played several of the games stocked in the cabinet. The view is also to die for! We also loved the extra touches including s’more ingredients for the firepit- unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate for much outdoor fun but that just means we have to come back!

The perfect place for peace. In my line of work so I’m always having to travel. When I travel I look for a place that I can feel peaceful. The house was perfect it was well-kept very neat smelled pleasant but the beauty of it was sitting on the lake

We had a great stay at Elaine’s home. It was perfect for our overflow of family as we live just down the road and had extras in town for a fun weekend. My only feedback would be to consider a contactless check-in so we didn’t have to coordinate our arrival. The place was stocked with plenty of towels and Elaine has thought of everything! We will 100% be renting again! Thanks, Elaine!
