Both the home and the residential neighborhood were clean quiet and calm. The room was spacious. The mats and comforters were of high quality and very comfortable. Interaction with the staff was minimal but everything was always set up and in order. Would def stay here again. The bikes were a wonderful bonus.

The house and its rooms have very traditional Japanese style, tatami soft with padding, deco themes of pleasing colors, old wooden frames transporting you back in time. It is close to Kanamachi station, 8-9 mins of walking and you will find Komeda cafes, bakery, ramen shops, supermarket, familymart, and of course, Starbucks.
A bit far from the city areas like Shibuya, but close to Ueno park and Asakusa (30mins by train).

The host was communicating positively and when the room was not free for extra two nights, suggested staying in the anex.
More worn out place then shown on the pictures. Not very confortable sleep - very tough pillows, everyrhing can be heard in the rooms. First two days could not sleep as in upper floor were making a lot of noise whole night.
