We would love to do it again!

Elena, the property owner, met us at the train station in Camucia and drove us to the house and showed us how everything works. It doesn't get any easier than that! Thanks Elena. The veranda has a view of the valley below and gets the afternoon sun so it is lovely. Beds, bathroom, closet, are all very nice.

It's a bit of an uphill walk to the main piazza but then, the whole town is a bit steep as anyone can see from photos. It was good exercise and well worth the effort to spend time in lovely Cortona.

Perfect for a relaxing holiday!

Beautiful scenery, peaceful, comfortable, the host was exceptionally kind and picked us up from the train station. The town is picturesque and quiet, the apartment has a beautiful terrace, comfortable beds and is close to all sights. We would stay here again for even longer next time!

We had some difficulties figuring out the thermostat/heat but managed to get it working. As it is a very old, small town you need to be mindful of electricity use and hot water use. This was no problem for us but people expecting a Western hotel experience may find this a challenge. We simply didn’t run appliances at the same time and kept showers short and it was not an issue. The beauty, kindness and peaceful surroundings are worth it.

all. a beautiful house, this is what we were looking for. perfect Tuscan atmosphere and style. terrace, view, ceilings, terracotta.

there is no such thing, although some may be bothered by the lack of a parking lot, uphill road. for us it is a fully accepted state, well this is the real Cortona

The best holiday I have ever had. It was an honour to stay in Elena’s beautiful apartment.

Everything! Elena, our host even collected us from the station and was available throughout the holiday if needed. She is so lovely, friendly and helpful! The property is an apartment very near the main shopping area of the town. It is beautifully decorated in typical Tuscan style, giving you a real taste of Tuscan life. Equipped with everything you need for cooking your own meals but access to lots and lots of fabulous restaurants nearby. The property is immaculately clean - the cleanest property I have ever stayed in. Everything, and I mean everything has been thought of to ensure your comfort. I have stayed in lots of properties both at home and abroad and have never experienced anything better! Elena’s priority is ensuring that you enjoy your stay! Comfortable beds, immaculate bedding, spare pillows and blankets. Ample storage for clothes. Seriously, nothing is missing! Best of all is the balcony with views over the mountain. It is so relaxing and you have the added value of feeling that you are experiencing life with the local people. I fell in love with Cortona during a visit last year - there are lots of interesting places to visit in the City. Just looking at the streets and buildings was fascinating. This visit has only intensified my love of the place! This is the only property where I had a lump in my throat when we had to leave.... I just loved every minute. Oh, forgot to mention the super fast wi fi!

There is nothing Elena could do to improve this property in my opinion, it’s perfect! One word of warning though, don’t underestimate the mosquitos. Elena provides things to help... use them from day 1!
