I loved the hotel’s historic charm, with its beautiful heritage architecture, grand staircase, high ceilings, and castle-like atmosphere. The central downtown location made it even better.
The only minor drawback was that the elevator replaced part of the original left-side staircase, slightly affecting the symmetry. I understand this was likely necessary for accessibility, so it’s a very minor point.

Breakfast was phenomenal, with a wide variety of high quality options. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The location is beautiful, and the building itself has stunning architecture that adds a unique charm to the stay. The sauna is also a great benefit and a very pleasant way to relax after a day of exploring. Overall, good experience that I would recommend.
There were, however, a few areas that could be improved. At times, the level of cleanliness seemed somewhat neglected, particularly in the sauna area. I would also appreciate better blackout curtains or blinds. As an international guest who is not accustomed to the long daylight hours during summer, I found it difficult to keep the room sufficiently dark at night. Improving this aspect would significantly enhance the comfort of a property of this standard.

This is a beautiful hotel with charm and a relaxed atmosphere. It was very reasonable in price and very welcoming. They were more than happy to mind luggage too while I was away. I would stay here again and will do so again for sure.
