About this house rental
Situated in Marco Island, this lovely house for $1,453 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Renovation just completed in 2020! Perhaps the largest lot on all of Marco Island. The Main house is a 5 Bed / 4 full Bath & 2 half Bath, with a 2 Bed / 2 full Bath guest house. The guest house is attached by the massive lanai area. The pool is an oversized pool with an 8' deep end with multiple lounge chairs for relaxing poolside. The pool does have a heater for the winter months. The tennis court and separate half basketball court are perfect for the active family. Inside the main house is a massive master suite, huge master bath, guest bedrooms, with mostly king beds, and one room set up with 2 bunk beds for 4 people. There is also a game room with a pool table area, video game table with 400+ old school games, and large television viewing area attached. A huge 3 car garage is adjacent to the main house and a car port is attached to the guest house. The kitchen is a gourmet kitchen with a 6 burner Viking stove, Viking wine refrigerator, and large island overlooking the main living area. The property has basketballs, volleyballs, 4 tennis racquets & balls, beach chairs, beach/pool towels, beach umbrellas, wheeled cooler, beach toys, pool toys, giant Connect 4, cornhole, ladder ball, etc. It is a one of a kind property (2.5 acres in total, with gopher turtles & burrowing owls on the grounds). There are multiple outdoor sitting areas to enjoy the grounds which are lushly landscaped. This is a spacious house with plenty of room to enjoy the privacy and beauty of Marco Island. The guest house has a living/ TV area with a separate kitchen, master suite, and guest suite with a bunk for kids or adult as the bottom has a full bed. There are 10 Televisions and Wifi throughout the home. There is an outdoor grill on the lanai. This property is a tropical paradise ready for your family's enjoyment! The beaches and dining are all within 1.5 to 2 miles away depending on the destination, but plenty close to ride a bike or walk. There is a bike rental location on the northern end of the island where rentals can be arranged.

Having rented from VRBO multiple times, we will never rent from them again after this experience. This home is NOT as advertised in the description. VRBO did not offer any assistance in dealing with this unresponsive home owner.There was black mold in a bedroom off the billiards room where my pregnant sister was sleeping we noticed it 3 days into the trip.The main slider door in guest house is broken we could not lock it I had small kids sleeping just inside. No beach chairs or supplies as advertised. Multiple outlets and lights not working, including pool lights made it dark for night swimming with Little’s. Shower handle didn’t work in guest house master. We contacted owner immediately with issues and he was not helpful, since our stay he did offer a refund, but still has not followed through on that.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Cateau Marco! We enjoyed the pool every day! Great weather! The house is very comfortable and provided everything we needed to make our stay very enjoyable. We would definitely return to Marco and this house again!

The house was very large and had adequate room for all 17 of us. The kids loved the bunk room, and the pool was a great hit, as was the tennis court and basketball court. Overall, it was a really nice week for our family.
Unfortunately, two bathrooms had outlets that didn't work (one with a hairdryer) as well as burned out lightbulbs. Water leaked from the outside shower into the bathroom and bedroom below, but no response from a text to the manager. Several other small issues should be taken care of with a walk-through of the house before the next renters arrive.

We had a wonderful time with our family. The pool was fabulous and the beds were comfortable. The reason we give it 3 stars is that the house had multiple deficiencies, such as lightbulbs missing, broken blenders and toaster. There were plenty of inflatable toys but the pump was broken. There were tennis rackets, but no tennis balls. The owner did send a new blender on the day before we left and assured us that he would attend to the other deficiencies on the property. Despite these annoyances the property provides a great venue for a family gathering.

Found a dead cockroach!

The beach is close , shops, eateries, and the burrowing owls were worth the trip alone. Fantastic time on Marco Island.

I took my family, a total of 17 people, to Marco Island for Christmas. It was a great place for everyone. The house is huge! The kids and adults were always busy there--swimming, playing in the game room, playing tennis, basketball, or pickleball. The pool area is beautiful for a large group. We would definitely stay there again.

We rented this party for a planning retreat. The property worked very well for our needs, all six couples were able to have their own spaces and there was plenty of room to gather for meetings, games, and other activities. The Marco Island area is very nice, the pool was very spacious, we were very pleased with the trip!

This is the 2nd time we rented this property, this time with a new owner. Excellent place it will not disappoint you, in fact you will be saying WOW as you walk through this property for the first time. I will rent again next year. The house is fantastic.. Owner is very prompt with response if you have any questions.

This was the second time we have rented here and loved the accommodations. We had 21 people ranging from 6 months to 90 years of age. The property offers so much you never need to leave. If you do, the beach is just 2 miles. We set up pickleball on the tennis court, plenty of pool toys and seating. Seating for everyone to eat outside together. Billiards room was nice size for a large group. All around great house!
