Nestled in Halifax, this charming cottage for $198 per night is a great option for your next vacation. BELLA VISTA - BEAUTIFUL VIEW - ABSOLUTELY STUNNING - !!!!!!!!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED !!!!!!!!! Beautiful 3 Bedroom Year Round Cottage overlooking Deep Cove. The property is located on the Lighthouse Route Trail in the South Shore area of beautiful Nova Scotia, close to Hubbard's, Chester, Mahone Bay and a short drive to Halifax and the airport. All within a short drive is the Famous Peggy's Cove Lighthouse and the UNESCO World Heritage Town of Lunenburg. Deep Cove is located on the Aspotogan Peninsula very close to the famous Bayswater Beach. The property is situated on a hill overlooking the Cove. There are 18 little houses built in this community and we are on the second level of homes with one of the most stunning views of the water. There is a boat ramp and dock on the water side of the road and great fishing can be done right off the wharf. The property offers peace and relaxation with ample activity happening in the cove. Nature beyond...... Three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, very modern, 1300 sq ft, cottage that is well equipped with all amenities for a great vacation away from home. Two bedrooms and full bathroom with tub on main floor., along with open concept kitchen and great room. There is a very private upstairs bedroom with a full bathroom and wall in tiled shower. The great room area has cathedral ceiling with lots of pot lights, windows all around and loads of natural light streaming in. Double patio doors open onto the deck area with stunning views of the Cove. Fifteen minutes drive to Chester and 17 minutes by car to Hubbard's area, 10 minutes from beautiful Bayswater Beach. 45 minutes from Halifax. Boat ramp, dock, horseback riding minutes away. Great kayaking and biking rentals in the area. If you are considering staying on the South Shore this property is highly recommended. Everything from start to finish was perfect. It is in a beautiful cove with lovely views from the terrace. Perfect for morning coffee or late evening drinks. The house was clean , spacious and well maintained. It was very well equipped with all household items and amenities. We enjoyed day trips to Luneberg, Mahone Bay and Peggy’sCove as well as shorter jaunts to Chester and Hubbards. Communication with the owners was excellent and we were delighted to have chosen this house. Highly recommended.

This was actually better than what we had anticipated: we thought the view of the cove would be a bit obstructed by the other houses but it was not. It is a perfect, serene, peaceful place. You can have your morning coffee, or late afternoon cocktail sitting in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the cove…aaaahhhh!
The house was perfect, our friends stayed in the upstair’s room, us downstairs. Each our own bathrooms. There is enough space to enjoy and respect everyone. Everything you need was there (pots, containers, dishes, etc). And it was also convenient to have the washer and dryer.
Nancy was easy to reach and always helpful, even providing info on events taking place close by while we were there. When we go back to Nova Scotia, we will be sure to enquire about returning.

This is the best VRBO in which we have ever stayed. It was a quiet and peaceful cove from where we could take day trips. It was also the most well stocked vacation home we have ever seen. It had everything we needed. All 6 of us enjoyed the cottage very much!

This property is wonderful, it’s clean, well appointed, fully equipped and in a beautiful location overlooking the cove. It’s quiet and extremely relaxing. The cottage is lovely inside and out. I would definitely stay their again and would highly recommend it to my friends and family. Check in process was straightforward and property owners were quick to respond to and questions. We were 4 adults (2 couples) and one infant and stayed 5 nights at this cottage/house. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The location had a beautiful view out over Deep Cove. The spacious interior had 3 bedrooms (2 on the main floor and one upstairs) and one bathroom on each level, including a tub on the main floor. Lots of hot water. Kitchen, bathroom and laundry supplies were excellent. Anything you may have forgotten is probably there. High chair and sleeping cot for the little one, plus a few toys and beach items.
Communication with the owners was great. Would we stay again? Absolutely!

Went there to take a break from a long road trip. The home was perfect for us. Great location. Went to Bev Funday twice to see high tide and low tide. Went to the Boardwalk In Halifax. I tried a Beavertail for the first time and I am hooked on that treat. Had dinner in Lunenburg. And had breakfast at the deck which was nearby and enjoyable.

This home is comfortable and clean (inside & outside), was stocked with the essentials, has an amazing, peaceful view. Perfect home away from home.
My only suggestion would be to add the surrounding very steep roads within the complex, to the listing for disabled people. I have a disability and was looking forward to independently walking/riding around the neighbourhood & down to the water, during our stay & was unable to do so. Knowing ahead of time would have helped.

Oh that view!
The property is beautiful inside and out. Nice sized bedrooms and two lovely bathrooms. The kitchen had everything needed to to make a meal or two (Minus the fixens to make a meal of course) Tons of games books and movies on hand. ( Played some crib). Spent a lot of time in the adirondack chairs watching the sailboats, paddleboats, kayaks and seadoos enter and exit the beautiful sheltered inlet known as Deep Cove. Our stay was over much too quickly. Would love to go back again.

Deep Cove is the place to be!
Cottage is clean and well appointed. Perfectly located to tour the island - from Halifax, and Peggys Cove to Lunenburg and Mahone Bay (or Chester and Hubbards if you don't want to venture too far). Lots to do, but also a nice place to just lounge and take in the stunning views.
Communication with owners Sandy and Nancy was superb! We had some technical issues while there - and getting in touch with them was super easy, and they were on the issue right away.
Would definitely recommend a visit to this cottage. Loved our time there as a family of 4 - 2 adults and two teens.

ROOM WITH A VIEW
Overall, we all agreed that our experience was a successful one. A few minor suggestions that other families may find helpful in the future is a section in your binder that explains how to use the fireplace and tv would be helpful, where to find the kayak etc and perhaps where to get firewood. Other than that it would have been more environmentally friendly to have enough cutlery and dishes to service a group of six for the day so that we didn’t have to run the dishwasher after every meal or waste time doing dishes before heading out on the days adventures.
Otherwise, you can’t beat the view. This comfortable, cozy cottage had us all gathered in the front room every morning and evening facing a view of the Cove that even a one year old couldn’t help but appreciate (believe us, we have the handprints on the windows prove it). It’s awesomeness set the mood of the day as we couldn’t help but speculate each day what story might lay behind a particular boat anchored at the shore. Excitement only grew when boats were spotted coming into or leaving the Cove. Then there was the seal that was spotted on an adventure walk around the Cove and a bald eagle that graced us with his presence one particular evening.
We guarantee that others should not be disappointed when choosing to stay at Deep Cove #5.

One recommendation is to update the cookware and bakeware as some were rusted and overused.

This was my families first time visiting the East Coast. The location of our cottage was absolutely perfect. It was located in the middle of all the attractions we wanted to see. This lovely cottage is a respite for the eyes and a weary soul ...... the wild roses frame a most picturesque cove, the sea was a forever changing colour of blue.... a home for many a varied boat ... from the humble rowboat to tall and elegant Maritime sailboats! On the beautiful early summer eves we would watch in awe from the comfort of the sturdy adirondak chairs as the sun would set in a harmony of rich rose colours .... and amid the gentle evening sounds ... whether it be from the far off soft laughter of boaters or the haunting, melodic song of seabirds (and an owl). Or the nights are given an air of mystery when encased in a softly creeping fog! All in all this is a place to rest your weary soul, to recharge and reflect. Because of its unique relationship with nature it is not a place for large parties or gatherings ... the reservation went smòothly and the fact this was a pet friendly cottage only enhanced our stay, the pantry is well stocked with many spices and the bed was beautifully soft topped by some of the most enjoyable pillows I remember ... even those i have slept on in fine hotels. There is more than enough linens supplied and a full size washer and dryer. Just a lovely place in the most picturesque surroundings.

Everything and more!
My family and I spent a great week at this cottage and enjoyed every moment. All you need to bring is your clothes and your food. The cottage is equipped with everything you can imagine, the place is spotless and comfortable. We brought our boat, it was easy to launch and we spent the week exploring Mahone Bay and the islands. I would love to go back.

The cottage itself felt spacious. I loved all of the windows and the vaulted ceiling in the main living area. It was nice having the third bedroom alone on the top floor, so we were able to put our teenage son up there because he likes to stay up late and sleep in.
My favorite part of the cottage besides the view was having a fire pit by the back patio. We had a bonfire every night and made s’mores. We also had a blast fishing off the dock. When the mackerel are running, the fishing gets really exciting!
