I fell in love with this place the moment I walked in. It’s is quiet, very convenient and very comfortable and has a lovely, traditional feel.
For travellers it would be helpful to have a few small things like oil, salt and pepper as we don’t want to have to buy it and carry it around Japan.

The location is excellent: walking distance to the lake, the station, many restaurants, and right next to a good supermarket. The house itself is conceptually and structurally nice; it feels like a wooden Japanese cottage and offers plenty of space.
I’m surprised no one has mentioned this clearly before, but the house is not clean. There is an extremely large amount of dust everywhere — not from a few weeks, but clearly from many months. You can see about 1 cm of dust on the lamps, in the corners, on the ceiling, and when you move any furniture there is a lot of dirt behind it. It’s a very evident lack of cleaning, and quite hard to understand.
Additionally, the beds are not comfortable.
