Perfect for solo travel or a couple. New residential building district. Bus to downtown in front of the door, or a 30min walk with excellent boardwalk views. Full equiped kitchen so you can stay longer and cook yourself.

The area is very nice, the apartment was in Damsgårdsveien in a green building. The small terrace and the windows are looking at Ulriken (the highest mountain around Bergen), which was very beautiful in nice weather.
In the flat there was a living room with extra bed together with the kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed, a saml hall and a bathroom with shower and toilet inside. The flat was very nice, clean and tidy. It is equipped with kitchen things (e.g. cutlery), dishwasher and with washing machine as well.
There are several supermarkets nearby: Bunnpris, Kiwi and REMA 1000, all of which are open from 7-23 Mon-Sat.
The best public transport is the tram (Bybanen 1), which can be accessed on foot (approx. 1km), which is a nice walk in nice weather.
Both airport and city center can be reached with Bybanen 1, which is great, and city center is also in walking distance (in nice weather). Weekly ticket (7-day) is avalable for public transport (trams and buses) from Skyss (in 2026 it is 315 NOK/wk).
So no need for taxi at all!
We booked the flat from BJØRVIKA APARTMENTS, which has several apartments in the area. We received the exact address at the last day before our travel, and the key was available in another building, which is approx. 300 meters away on the street.
Bybanen 1 is far away in rain, and nearest station (Florida) is accessible via the harbor walking bridge, which sometimes is opened, when it is not available and you must wait or you can walk to next tram station (Danmarksplass), which is a little bit farther (approx. 1.4km).

The location is excellent, and the apartment itself was very clean and modern. The view from our balcony was incredible!
We were surprised to find a few “essentials” missing upon arrival. We had to go out and buy shampoo and body wash, as well as coffee and coffee filters to use the coffee machine in our apartment. For a three-day stay, that felt like a bit of a waste. But this may not be an issue for everyone.
Also, it did take us a few minutes to figure out how to enter the building door. We also saw other people struggling with this as they arrived during our stay. I would recommend making the instructions a little bit clearer.

Clean, newly refurbished, well equipped apartment with balcony and view of water body.
Very poorly managed. They put a wrong key in the key box so couldn't get into the building. Had to sit out in the cold from 12:30 at night till 3 am to get some one out from far away to get the correct keys to get into the apartment.
Have to walk for 10 minutes to find the rubbish and recycling dump to dispose rubbish.
Bedroom is so small that one has to go out of the bedroom and come back in through another door to get to other side of bed. This means there is also no place to open travel cases in the bedroom.
Shower has excellent water pressure but it has to be used on very low pressure otherwise the water spreads all over the bathroom floor.
The smoke alarm is supersensitive, and it went off simply trying to fry an egg which put us off cooking.
Every time the smoke alarm goes off one has to run out of the apartment in the corridor to silence it and reset it and then ring the fire services number to inform them that it was a false alarm.
