The house was beautiful and very welcoming. Our host, Syuji, though he stayed on site, was unobtrusive and kept to himself so it felt as though we had the place to ourselves. We liked the location and it's proximity to some local activities.
We came in autumn, and it gets dark early, so not much to do in the evenings. It would have been great to have a more modern TV that we could get internet programs on.

"Located in a very quiet part of Nikko, only a few minutes walk from the main temples & shrines."
