We could not fault this hotel. It was spotlessly clean. The lovely staff did not speak English but put in a lot of effort to communicate via a translation app. They took us to shops and showed us good places to eat and got taxis for us.

Hotel located on the 8th floor of a building, near the tangzixiang metro station. In a central area with restaurants and some bars. Staff does not speak English and service virtually non-existent. Spacious and clean room with a fridge and hot water. No air conditioning but kunming is quite fresh. There is a kitchen but no fire no pan cutlery(?). Works for new subway line create a lot of noise 24h. Reasonable price.
