Location, view, deck
A little noisy during the very early hours due to the boats crossing the canal

Located right on the main street of Tortuguero, this is a very well located property. The staff were so helpful to us when we had urgent need for laundry (after many days in humid rainforest). We organised tours through them, which made life easy. Do really good pancakes at breakfast!
Make sure to bring cash to pay for the hotel, and also for other things in Tortuguero - if there are storms and the wifi goes down, then even places that normally take card won't be able to
There are tonnes of flies everywhere at breakfast, and this is not the case for other food places along the same stretch of water. We ended up eating our food in our room, but could see other guests getting very aggravated. Hopefully there is something they can do about it
Our room was right by the reception, and when people get up early at 5:30am for tours, it can be quite noisy. This didn't really bother us, but could bother other visitors so others may want to ask not to get the ground floor rooms.
One of the tours we did through them the tourguide was on his phone much of the tour, and distracted from us- more the tour company's issue than Casa Marbella's, but just an FYI if organising tours through them

We were in Room 4 for the first night (triple) and Room 2 for the second (double economy). Room 4 was lovely. Great view, spacious, clean. Nice bathroom. Room to hang things, with hangers included. Room 2 was small, not so nice a bathroom, no hot water, and had a significant number of ants (and some other insect) all over my pillow. The front desk dealt kindly and efficiently with that (sprayed a product), which I appreciated. Noisy from the street in Room 2. Perfect in Room 4. The staff were kind - we appreciated Nelda's pancakes and turtle tour! Great location in terms of walking around the town. Very much appreciated the included breakfast - fruit and pancakes or eggs. And lots of coffee!
Rooms 1 & 2 have screens onto the street and aren't particularly quiet (nor terribly noisy, as no cars, but you hear everything from early in the morning. Also small and not nearly as nice as Rooms 3 & 4.

The view, however, the lake have lot of traffic (boats) so noise is high
