A very quiet place with beautiful views over the sea. The fishermen's discussions at the beach just in front auf our coconut villa in the early morning were part of the frame and not disturbing.
The food was very good and the breakfast abundant.
It was difficult to find the way between the houses over the last 100 meters. Signs would help.
There was only a cold shower. Ok after a hot afternoon but hard on a windy morning.
When you book the room it's not clear what you get.the poctures are a mix of all rooms and villas and the rooms are very different from each other. But we could chose between 4 free options so it was ok at the end.

This was our second time at Villa Matalai after 5 years break. Still the same charm and good energy!

Breakfast was ok.
Villas were nice . Location being waterfront was pleasant.
Too isolated. Getting to the villas was difficult though the dirt road.
Bathrooms not on the same level as the rooms was very inconvenient.
No hot water
Staff unfriendly. Hostess also unfriendly and unwelcoming.
Not planning to return there anytime soon.
