Beautiful family friendly 2 bedroom cottage, comfortably decorated with hardwood floors. This relaxing getaway is a short bike ride away from town or the beach. Enjoy peace and quiet at this fairly private cottage located 1.5 miles from the chappy ferry on a dirt road near the center of Chappaquiddick. Roomy open floor plan. Super cool central AC. The first bedroom has a large queen bed, bedroom #2 has 2 twin beds, and there is also a comfy pull out couch that can sleep 2 people. There is also a good size private deck with a gas grill. In addition, there is a gorgeous front lawn. The back yard is wood chips. Perfect for a family with kids and adults alike. True: amazingly high speed Wifi internet. There are also 3 Cable TVs. This house also includes a stacked washer and dryer combo. Plenty of parking and room enough for a boat. Close to the chappy community center and nature trails.

The place was as described and we liked staying there. Neat, clean and a quiet private location. If you like cooking you might want to bring your favorite saucepan, skillet or a garlic press and maybe an extra blanket. We like the quiet of Chappy, but getting back and forth to the main island isn’t cheap for vehicles and sometimes there is a lengthy wait.

Our stay on Chappy from check in to check out was awesome. The house was exactly as described in the listing-clean and comfortable. Our family spends most of our time on the shoreline and the house is situated close enough to The Gut, East Beach and Wasque, yet tucked away enough to give us privacy when we at the house. The kitchen was stocked with the essentials for cooking and we used the grill several times. The bedrooms were spacious and offered plenty of storage for our clothing. We never rended up using the pull out couch, but it was great to know we had that option for additional guests. Our stay was during a fairly hot week and the central air provided us with a haven to escape during the hottest parts of the day and a restful sleep during the sticky nights. A quick drive or bike ride to the ferry to go to town was also a benefit. We hope to visit again!

The only 1 criticism I may have is that the large bed was hard as a rock and the bed pillows are thin as a wafer.....but I suppose everyone has issues in this area....didn't Goldie-Locks?

Very much enjoyed my stay at Erik's Chappy cottage. Location was perfect. The layout of the home was much bigger than it appeared in pictures and was plenty of room for the 5 of us. Bedrooms were good size and the beds were very comfortable. (Including the pull out couch) If our travels take us to Chappy again, I would 100% stay at Erik's home.

Very nice and quite place to stay on the Vineyard. A very short drive to the Chappy ferry and you can leave your car parked there for free and just walk on the ferry for a night out in Edgartown. During the day we either drove on the Chappy beach or drove on the ferry to another beach. No line for the ferry when getting off Chappy in the morning and no line returning in the evening. I look forward to staying there again next summer.

This was our 1st time staying on Chappy. I thought it was going to be hassle getting back and forth to edgartown, but a breeze by foot or bike on the ferry. They run two at a time during prime hours.. Could be up to a half hour wait by car, but the peace and quiet of the island was worth it. Felt like I was in the woods of NH and then within minutes the beaches of cape cod and the husdle/bussle of downtown edgartown. The Chappy beaches are so beautiful there is no need to go to any other beach or off the island with car if adequately stocked.. House was great for price. Roomy enough for 5. Eric responded in person immediately to a minor issue. We would definitely rent again.

The cottage was exactly as we pictured it except better. The kitchen was very well equipped and we cooked most meals. Beds and linens were comfortable and wifi good enough that we were sadly able to work as needed. What we didn't expect and were thrilled to find was extraordinary stars at night, miles of trails reachable from the front door and lovely quiet mornings, afternoons and evenings. It was a five minute drive to sunrise on East Beach and ten minutes to sunset on Wasque. So much fun to park at the ferry and walk into Edgartown for dinners out. Can't wait to come back!

The home was very clean and the perfect size for our family of 5. We loved the open floor plan and cathedral ceilings. Proximity to ferry was perfect for quick trips into Edgartown. We would definitely stay again.

The house was ready for us earlier than expected- it's set in the middle of the woods on Chappy. It was super close to the ferry and super close to Wasque Point Beach on the Atlantic which we went to every single morning. The house itself was super cozy- perfect setup for my husband and I and our 5 year old- would also be perfect for 4 people. The house had almost everything we needed to cook with- we only really needed our good egg pan. It was stocked with extra blankets, tons of towels, had washer/dryer, a little deck with a grill, and a Chromecast on the living room tv! The owner was super responsive when we had a small issue- would definitely stay again! Best place to stay if you want the beach vacation and less hustle and bustle of town!

Wonderfully quiet location away from the fray of Martha’s Vineyard. Terrific LR/kitchen, functional bedrooms. Comfortable beds. No dishwasher and pots and pans could use an upgrade (especially given that you may want to cook rather than go to MV for meals).

We had planned to come to Chappy with two other couples for a little getaway, but it just ended up being me and my partner. Place was big for us two, would be perfect for 4 and workable for 6. The yard and little patio with a grill was great. Love the setup and open living area. It was our first time staying on Chappaquiddick and we loved it.
