Hyde & Sleep is a 1204 sq. ft. 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom farm house located 1 mile from the Pamlico Sound, and 2 miles from the fishing/ farm village of Engelhard, NC. Guest may enjoy fishing in the Pamlico Sound or Lake Mattamuskeet, a day trip to the Outer Banks, hunting with local guides, bird watching, or star gazing. Kayaking opportunities available in Kitty Creek, Pamlico Sound and Lake Mattamuskeet.

We needed to fit OBX into 2 days. It was half the price within a driveable distance. Very cozy cabin with all the amenities. We really enjoyed the outdoor fireplace. Even though in a wetlands area with mosquitoes, the owners had 6 mosquito deterant devices that worked extremely well. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Hyde and Seek provided the ideal setting for my son and me to delve into the wonders of the local nature preserve and the expansive Gull Rock game lands. The accommodation was equipped with every amenity we could possibly want, ensuring our stay was comfortable and convenient. Moreover, Debie stood out with her exceptional communication skills, making our experience even more seamless and enjoyable.

We arrived a little late on a Friday night. Debbie stayed in touch using text and explained that the back door would be open and the key on a table in the kitchen. Great communication. There are two bedrooms, one up and one down. The kitchen is well stocked. You feel like you are at home! Debbie and Wilson are a wealth of information. It is somewhat remote from the Outer Banks - about 45 minutes away but well worth the drive. During the season you can visit the docks in Englehard and see the shrimpers working. Great place to visit and stay.
