The views and setting were outstanding. The dinner was very good.
If you had a car the location wouldn't be a problem. It's a little out of Buonconvento but up a very steep hill which we had to walk up in the heat of the day. Also there wasn't a taxi service in the town so we had to carry all our luggage down the hill to the bus stop located at the train station.

We spent six days at Agriturismo Percenna during our honeymoon, and unfortunately our experience was disappointing. To start with the positives, the location is beautiful and peaceful. Our room had air conditioning and a refrigerator, and there was a lovely, friendly dog - Thea who honestly became one of the highlights of our stay. We also noticed that the owners have responded to previous guest feedback by adding amenities like AC and refrigerators, which shows they are open to making improvements.
However, several important aspects made our stay far less enjoyable and made us feeling not welcomed. Although we informed the owners in advance that we were on our honeymoon, there was absolutely no acknowledgment. We were not expecting anything extravagant, but even a warm welcome would have been appreciated. Communication was difficult due to the language barrier, and what made it worse was the complete lack of any guest information. No welcome book, no local tips, nothing practical. In many other places where English wasn't widely spoken, hosts still provided some kind of simple guide. Here, there was nothing. Breakfast was very basic and repetitive. We paid for an antipasti platter at dinner, only to see the same food served again at breakfast in the following days. Sometimes there weren't even enough hard-boiled eggs for everyone, or something so basic like tomatoes. Cleanliness was another disappointment. There was no soap in the room when we arrived, the bed linen was never changed during the entire stay from Monday to Saturday, and the floor clearly hadn't been properly vacuumed or mopped during our stay. We could constantly feel sand under our feet. It's a real shame because the place has so much potential, but the overall standard of hospitality and attention to detail did not
