Situated in Kearney, this lovely cottage for $341 per night is a great choice for your next break. Our 4 season, 4 bedroom 2800 sq ft house is on a double lot, on a quiet non-motorized lake. It has all the charm you would want in a cottage with all the comforts of home. Hogg Lake is located approx. 2 and a half hours north of Toronto, close to the famous resort town of Huntsville, as well as Arrowhead and Algonquin Parks. The 2 storey cottage has been completely and lovingly renovated in 2012 with 4 full bedrooms (Sleeps 8), large kitchen, living and dining room and recreation room with a floor to ceiling wood burning fireplace in the living room and a wood stove in the lower level rec room. The living room features huge picture windows overlooking the lake with soaring cedar ceilings. There is a special seating nook beside the kitchen. The house includes a gourmet kitchen and everything you could want for a wonderful cottage vacation! Children Welcome Master bedroom is very large with a queen size bed, patio-door walk out to large deck and rock garden, view of the lake and a 32'tv. Second bedroom, good size, king size bed and view of the lake. Third bedroom double bed and view of the lake. Fourth bedroom, queen size bed and large closet. Amenities . Linens Provided · Fireplace and Wood Stove (firewood provided for inside and outside fires) · Deck / Patio and Muskoka Room: Including patio table and seating for 6, and large 3 piece wicker set and seating for 6. · Parking for up to five cars · Laundry: Automatic washer and dryer (GE 2012) · Heating: Propane central air (with heat and cold air exchanger as well as two overhead remote controlled fans), radiant heat in lower level bathroom Entertainment: Television: Satellite TV 60 inch flat screen with Blue Ray DVD player in rec. room 32' TV in master bedroom Internet Stereo: Ipod Player/speakers 1 canoe and paddles, 1 stand up water board, 1 paddle boat, 1 adult sit in and 2 small kayaks, plus water toys... Outdoor Grill: BBQ with side burner Quiet mornings can be spent on the dock or in the fully screened Muskoka room viewing the sunrise over the lake (cottage faces south east). Take a paddle around the lake (canoe or two person paddle boat). Loads of fun for families or couples looking for peace and quiet. The lake is spring-fed and perfect for swimming with a small sand beach for children. Great fishing on the dock. Located 20 minutes north of Huntsville and right beside the snow mobile / ATV trail, the area has full outdoor activities all year round. There are ample local attractions or you can stay at the cottage to relax. South eastern exposure gets full sun all day and beautiful sunrises. Very large double lot and professionally designed rock gardens with just the right mix of sun and shade, fully treed. Pets considered. No smoking in the cottage. Sunday to Sunday bookings in high season. 2 nights minimum stay.

Spent a week with my family. The cottage was very comfortable, clean, nicely decorated and had high quality appliances. The small lake was picturesque and peaceful and we enjoyed using the canoe, kayak and paddle board.

This property was excelty what we were looking for. The lake was surprisingly clean, which made swimming more enjoyable. The lake was also perfect for canoing and kayaking. The house was nice and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked. The only downside for us was the noise in the downstairs bedrooms from people walking on the top floor. This property is definitely one we would consider returning to in the future.

Large comfy and well equipped cottage, great views, small spectacular Hog Lake at its feet. Owner was available at all times for questions and help. Great separation between main bedroom and lower level where guests have ample bedrooms. Will return!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The cottage met our every want and need. The lake was great for fishing (bass) and enjoying the provided water craft (canoe, kayaks, paddle board and paddle boat).

Absolutely loved our week long stay at Luis and Laura’s cottage....If we could rate it more than 5 stars we would! The kitchen is equipped with high end appliances , even Starbucks coffee and a bottle of wine were left for us! The bathroom soaps are very high quality, we had to pay a visit to the local soap store in Huntsville to bring some home. Cottage is equipped with absolutely everything you would ever need! Really enjoyed Hog Lake and the area....did lots of kayaking and hiking....even in the rain. Wood stove was such a nice touch at the end of our days. And the cottage and grounds were spotlessly clean upon arrival. Cottage was very spacious, well laid out and comfortable. By the end of the week, it really did feel like home and we were sad to leave! Our interactions with Luis were top notch, he was attentive and answered all of our questions before we arrived! There was no need to contact the owners after our arrival as everything was perfect! Sure hope to return. Luis and Laura should be very proud of their home and we thank them for sharing it with us!

The cottage is just beautiful...to call it a cottage is an understatement. A well equipped, tastefully decorated home with all the amenities inside and out. From the gourmet kitchen to the spacious living spaces, comfy beds and beautiful setting on a small lake...we had a wonderful time! Communications with Luis were great from our first email and any tiny problems we had were addressed promptly. Thank you for sharing.

It was a wonderful property right by Hog lake with a breathtaking vista right from the living room. To say that the kitchen is well-appointed is an understatement. Both my mother and mother-in-law were in awe by the kitchen and believe me, they know a thing or two about kitchen. The rest of the cottage is equally well equipped for entertainment, leisure and comfort. Our orginal plan was to explore the neighborhood during our 5-day stay but ended up not venturing out because there were much to do on the premises. And we could have easily just spent the time indoor relaxing and soaking up the scenery and serenity. All in all, a truly fantastic stay. We are already contemplating our next visit!

Everything was just fabulous! The house was spotless and had every convenience, especially in the the kitchen that you would ever need. Luis and Laura were wonderful to deal with! The lake is small but very quiet and peaceful. The pictures don’t do it justice. There is plenty of space for 6 adults to be together but also have some time alone if you want. Definitely recommend to all.

We had a family wedding to attend in Kearney and wanted to enjoy a long weekend as a family. I cannot say enough about the graciousness of Luis and Laura. The home was beautiful and functional and so well outfitted. All we had to do was bring in food and luggage and we could relax. It is a lovely location on a lake, feels very private, is beautifully decorated and the hosts are a joy to work with. Highly recommend
