Located in Twain Harte, this lovely cabin for $235 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. You'll be coming back to this one! Pretty much every amenity you can want - including Pet-Friendly! Beautiful kitchen with granite countertops; overhead fans; flat screen TV. Note: Very steep stairs to Loft area where roof is pitched, so probably best to plan on older children for this area. Cleaning Fee: $150 Additional $100 Deposit required for Pets in addition to Pet Fee. GUESTS BRING THEIR OWN SHEETS & TOWELS. Cabin Layout: Two-story. Request for cleaning fee ignored. Large pile of human feces and used toilet paper next to trash can outside. Dirty dish pile in sink. Beds all unmade with dirty sheets. This was a disaster. Twain Harte vacation rentals “Kevin” ignored emails. It would be hard to trust Kevin and Twain Harte vacation rentals again. They completely let me down.

Great cabin! My family and I enjoyed it thoroughly. There was a little mixup with the lake reservations but the office fixed it right away. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a quaint little cabin with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. It's within walking distance all Twain Harte has to offer! The priory manager is available and responsive for any needs you might have.

the only negative was about use of the loft. no windpws had been opened to cool to off and too hot to use the first night we were there. it was ok after that

We have rented this property three times because it is close to our family’s cabin in Twain Harte. We found it to be cozy and clean and well furnished throughout. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need for cooking and serving meals and the dining room has a long large table great for family mealtimes and game time. There is a flat screen TV in the living room which was nice to catch some football bowl games during our stay. We stayed during Thanksgiving week so we didn’t use the lake but did take some long walks with our grandkids on the pine tree lined streets. We only used the two downstairs bedrooms but there is a big loft style room upstairs lined with beds. We appreciated that our host answered our questions about the wifi quickly. This is the perfect home for a getaway.

This house was perfect for our small group. It is very walkable to down town, equipped with everything we needed and the owner/property manager was very responsive when we asked questions. The only negative was the bed in the front bedroom was very uncomfortable. We would bring a mattress topper if we ever stay again.

Pearson was, in general, a satisfactory company. When we arrived they had provided sheets and towels at our request (very nice!). The refrigerator had leftovers from the last renter (not cleaned at all). Pearson sent the cleaning staff to take care of that (but how did they miss it?). We actually left the cabin cleaner than we found it. We thought we left a couple of items (including a 5 year old's teddy bear). Email and phone call asking about it went unanswered (so not so great after we left). I would give Pearson a B-. Could have been worse, but lots of room for improvement. As far as the cabin, sleeping 10 is problematic. The beds are there, but some are so close to the rafters (and immovable) pray you don't sit up in the dark and crack your head.

This is a wonderful Twain Harte cabin. It was comfortable for all six of us. The fact that it is pet friendly, with a secured decks made lounging with the dog very easy and secure. This cabin has all of the conveniences you could ask for. We have rented five different cabins in Twain Harte over the years, and this one is by far the best. There was room for four cars, which was necessary because we had family arriving from, and departing to different places. We had one question regarding the Wi-Fi password, which was answered within 10 minutes. All in all this was a great rental!

We had a great family vacation at this cute, cozy cabin. We had an issue with the water lines but the property Manager was quick to fix the problem. Walking distance to town activities and a few minutes of driving to enjoy the private lake. We would love to stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a mountain get away that's close to town with an outdoor experience.

We needed a place to escape the loud fireworks of the 4th and this was such a peaceful little cabin, plenty of beds for the kids and my sister in law was able to come as well. Wish we had been able to book for longer, great location as you can walk to just about everything!

The owners of this property really did a great job of making this a fun location to stay. Board games, Netflix/Hulu/Cable all ready to go. The property was clean. The kitchen was fully stocked. And, you'll find that they've tastefully intermixed all the required modern conveniences and supplies a visitor would need while keeping the unique craftsmanship of a 50's era wood cabin in tact. Some day I wish to have the resources to own and create a family vacation space with this kind of feel and warmth. One small note. Beds need to be upgraded to make the night's sleep as comfortable as the rest of the home.

We stayed for a family snow weekend with our adult children. The cabin was in a nice location, the directions were excellent and we could walk into town for a coffee in the morning. Everything was in working order - the cabin was well-maintained and clean, heating was comfortable and the firewood was appreciated. The snow could've been better for skiing though.

Great cabin in good location
We had a super stay at the cabin. It was clean, cozy, well stocked and in a good location. Because we stayed in winter, we used the heating a lot, which got the cabin toasty right away. The only other thing to mention is that you have to be very careful on the stairs/ladder to the loft.

The cabin is easy to find and the directions to the cabin were good, the keys were where it said and the lockbox was easily opened and I get the cabin door open. The cabin was smaller than I expected to accommodate 6 adults and 4young kids but we were happy to be there having a great time together for 2 nights. We were told that we can check-in early so we arrived at around 1pm (the weather was really bad that day and we were happy that we can get there early) but about 1.5hrs after we got in the cabin, there were 2 maintenance men came in to change the dishwasher! Why the management picked the day they are to have guests coming in when they could have picked the day before to have the dishwasher changed since the cabin would have been empty of guests, I don't know,incompetent, I guess. These 2men didn't leave until around 5pm!! Because there weren't any instructions on how to connect to the wifi at the cabin, I called the host and he was just a nasty human being, not only he didn't know where the instructions were at the cabin he picked the wrong wifi network and when I can't connect to the wifi, the host made me and my son felt we were the inadequate one but in fact he doesn't know what he is talking about. He could have just told me the instructions are on the side of the refrigerator! We found the instructions all by ourselves! There is a loft inside the cabin and it was freezing cold up there for there wasn't any heater up there. I'm sure when it's summer time it'll be very hot up there too!Would I rent from this host again? NO!

Needed better information
When we arrived, we had no electricity. The cabin was dark and cold. We specifically asked management to keep us apprised of the situation but they failed to do so. We were on the verge of leaving three hours later when the power finally came on. We would’ve appreciated better communication with the management company and the owner. After that our stay was very nice, but the cabin should’ve been cleaner.

Nice place & close to town
We stayed there for a week this past summer and it was a good time. Older appliances but they all worked fine. The back deck was a nice place to enjoy a cocktail and play a board game or watch the local deer. The local "beach" is about a 20-25 minute walk and it does cost money. Lots of bees there in the summer so be careful. We ended up going up to Pinecrest Lake which was awesome.

Wonderful lake vacation
This was just a fun little trip for us. The cabin is centrally-located and has lots of rooms for our family of 5, plus a family friend. Everything feels a bit old/outdated, but very clean and comfortable. The convenient location is the best - the nearby lake is a 5-minute walk away and the perfect place to park with a blanket and spend a day.

The only reason I did not give it a 5 stars is because there is no AC and the loft gets really hot on hot days. Other than that the place was very clean, location was perfect (minutes from downtown area and casino), lots of space, especially the patios. I would definitely rent this place again.

Our stay in Twain Harte was wonderful. The property was clean and cozy. Although it did not snow during our stay, it's not too far from areas that do have snow.

Easy drive up the hill to snow areas (it wasn't snowing, but there was snow on the mountain. If it is snowing the drive will be longer and you will need chains). Conveniently located near both Sonora and the Pinecrest. Very long dining table for big group. Includes washer and dryer. Allows pets, which was necessary for us with our husky. 4 twin beds in upstairs loft. We slept 4 kids and 2 adults comfortably, could have actually had 1-2 more kids with us and still fit comfortably. Warning for people with young children: The stairs up to the loft were extremely steep. My youngest is 7 and I still felt scared having him walk up and down them. If you have young kids you plan on sleeping up there, I would consider if you feel safe having them walk up and down the very steep stairs by themselves. Otherwise, the loft space was very spacious and convenient to have 4 twin beds. We brought all our own bedding, including pillows and comforters/sleeping bags, but the bedding can be provided if you want it.
