Highly not recommended.

Location is good only.

Towel, bed sheet, linen and pillow cover was charged separately, that was nothing worthy but it should be included in the cost of booking while people do on booking.com. I don't understand why they charged it separately as these are few compulsory necessities of guest, may be in future they will start changing the bed as well, etc etc. Soap/shower gel was not available in shower. Shower itself were not properly fixed. Curtains of shower booth were too dirty even fungus was there. Not recommend at all.

Room 14 from Hell

Location was fairly central and the staff where welcoming and nice

I wanted to like this place but gosh I wouldn't stay here again, probably if I hadn't been placed in room 14 the stay would have been more pleasant but it was probably my worst hostel experience in over 15 years of traveling mainly because of the room. Room 14 was horribly placed right adjacent the kitchen where people would come and go having loud conversations at all hours of the night keeping everyone in the room awake, the room was tight and stuffy but when you opened the windows to get reprieve they opened out to the back door where a constant supply of fresh cigarette smoke blew into the window all hours of the night and first thing in the morning. The kitchen was very small considering the number of residents that occupied the hostel there was only 1 hotplate so you had to wait for it to be free and once you cooked there was not really any bench space to actually sit and enjoy your food as usually someone else was waiting for the facilities. In an ideal world Room 14 should be turned into a dining area for all to use so they can sit at a table and actually eat food and relax but I doubt anything will change as hostels generally try to maximize profits. Whilst it is budget accommodation it still isn't particularly cheap and no one should have to put up with cigarette smoke pouring into their room or being woken up constantly by people making too much noise no matter where you stay when traveling. All in all if you are gonna stay here avoid Room 14 like the plague when you book request not to be put in this room. Happy travels

it is cheap compared to other options but it is not a place where you can hang out since it looks a common space. if you

the rooms are very small and there is no common area. there is no real kitchen. their kitchen consists of a fridge and sink. you have to pay for linen and towel and this is mandatory and has a fee of 60 kr. also a heads up to hide your food in bag and place it further in the fridge. most of my yogurt was eaten even though I wrote my name and check out date

It could be worse

Location was fine, we were able to walk to the city centre/Gamla and close to underground stop. It was easy to check in and out of the hostel using codes, but this also meant new people entered our shared dorm at all hours of the night. Easy to leave luggage before check in. As for the rest of the hostel: based on the reviews on Booking, we were expecting way worse, but our stay still wasn't great. You get what you pay for!

The hostel is very tiny (you can hardly walk past each other and no space to leave luggages within the room), and there are no cooking facilities. There is only one table with chairs where you can sit to have breakfast or hang out, this is not enough as a social area. Definitely not a social hostel. Be mindful of the mandatory linnen fee. Bathrooms could be better, the showers smelled very funky.

Dirty, moldy but great people doing the legwork.

Dirty common areas. We got access to the room one hour after available check-in time, it hadn't been prepared yet and still meeded cleaning. Beds are neatly made on the pictures, but don't let it fool you. It's not included in the price, and bringing your own linens is not an available option. Payment link for linens was sent separately only after the booking was made. Next time I'm passing by Stockholm I'll definitely add another 10-15 euroes to go to a cleaner place with the linens included. The personell revommended me another place for the next time and said that I'm not the first to react to the business practices. I asked if thr information has been relayed to administration to which I got the answer "yes, but this is gow they want it to be. For me, it creates inefficiences since I'm having to explain that there's nothing I can do about it. Over and over again". The bathroom ventilation seems undersized compared to it's duty and I'm guessing that's why we saw mold growth on all possible areas it would stick. Air quality in bathroom? Way below par and seemingly hazardous. Message from Acco Hostel: Dear Jonathan, According to the data we have in the system, your reservation still has unpaid obligations. I loved that there is a kitchen with access to microwave, kettle, cutlery and everything, and even free tea and coffee, it makes the hostel cozy. I also really like the system of pin codes, allowing us to be completely autonomous, come in the morning to store our luggage and go back in the evening. Allowing us to store our luggage for free is definitely a great point.

The collective showers, although we had cabins with a curtain for privacy (thankfully!!), I am personally uncomfortable showering with other people in the same room.

Added costs that were not enlisted when booking, felt very under the table and unprofessional. For example you have to pay extra for bedsheets and a lock to keep your wallet and such safe in a split room. If you're looking for the cheapest hotel possible there are better alternatives.

Doesn't worth even that price

Location

Shower was a common for 3 people with no lock on the door, abd it was dirty. I was forced to wash head in the sink. Windows didn't open, but it smelled in the room. Linen fee was extra price and it was spotty. Definitely would not recommend this place.

Price listed wrong, it costs extra 60SEK per guest per day as a MANDATORY service

First and more importantly: we felt scammed by their lack of transparency with the prices. The listed price does not contain the MANDATORY additional fee you NEED TO pay per guest per day for the bed linen and towel (no, you can’t bring your own, or rent it elsewhere, there’s no way around it and therefore it should be informed IN THE PRICE). Had we known that the price would be +6€ per each guest we would have stayed in our previous and much better accomodation for the same price (linen included, and a bedroom with just 2 beds, in a better location for our trip)which we tried to do by approaching the hostel directly and asking for a cancellation with a refund immediately after we were informed of the extra MANDATORY costs, and that was denied on the grounds that the reservation could only be refunded 7 days before arrival, which was impossible since we had booked that same day. The room was way too small for 6 beds, the beds on one side of the room were touching each other. The ventilation was not the best and the smell in the bedroom was foul. Besides the small size, the room was clogged with other guests luggage, making it very hard to go in or out of it. Although the bathroom was very clean and had some utilities available, the showers had some mould on the ceiling that should be checked. The kitchen was unusable during our stay because of the amount of dirty dishes. It is not so well equipped, but has 2 microwaves and a fridge that would have sufficed had the other guests cleaned after themselves. We are very disappointed with the dishonesty regarding the price, since it’s not possible to make a fair comparison with other accomodation when the hostel simply hide extra costs that are mandatory for the enjoyment of your already paid and non-refundable reservation, trapping the guests into purchasing additional services that would make it not the best cost-benefit choice.

Disappointing

Probably a great place to stay for a group visiting Stockholm as it is central, easily accessible and cheap. The place felt quite safe and the people I spoke to were polite and friendly.

This is a dormitory style of accommodation with bunk beds. Unfortunately there was a guy in my room who snored very loudly throughout the night. Also, there were people walking in and out of the room, knocking on the door and talking at random points during the night. Not recommended for a light sleeper like myself. The linen charge of 60sek that popped up a couple of days after i made the reservation felt very underhanded and dishonest. It might be in the fine print but I still find it a bit surreptitious and slimy.
