About this house rental
"Old Florida" Seaside Cottage located in the small seaside town of Floridana Beach. The beach is a turtle nesting habitat between May 1st and October 31st. Watch the giant turtles emerge from the sea and nest right on your beach dune. Sit in your private cabana overseeing the Atlantic Ocean and watch for dolphins, tarpons, manatees, and other wildlife swim by. Watch rocket launches from Cape Canaveral a few miles North. Short drive from Disney World and other Central Florida attractions.

Cindy is an amazing host. Everything is provided expert food including sand toys and beach chairs. The location is right on the beach and for those who have to play hide and seek with the sun there is a really nice porch area that you can sit and watch the waves. We got to watch sea turtles come and lay eggs on the beach at night and watch them in the surf during the day. I suggest taking binoculars to watch them during the day and you will need a red or amber light if you want to walk the beach at night so you don’t disturb the turtles.

Our family of 5 (children ages 6, 12, & 18) had an amazing time at this property. The kitchen was stocked with all necessities needed to cook and eat. There was as even coffee for us the first day so we didn’t need to rush to the store. There were many beach towels, sun screen, beach chairs, and more for the beach. The best part of this property was the backyard that had our own private beach access. You can see and hear the ocean from the house. There were several sitting areas and a 2-person “porch” swing. The outdoor shower was even had hot water! The beach access was covered and had a table and chairs to sit and admire the Atlantic Ocean. There was also water ran to the access stairs to wash off sand before heading in. There is a washer and dryer but we had to purchase laundry detergent which wasn’t a problem. There is a park, a gas station, and a Subway within walking distance. I would highly recommend this property!Please note that we stayed in April and the warmest it got was 80 degrees. The house rarely could cool down to below 76 degrees. If it was hotter outside, it may have been too hot in the house to be comfortable for some. The water also smelled like sulfur one day, but this is due to the well water. We did see a maintenance man come close to the end of our week stay to add salt to the water. This helped with the smell.

Very nice kitchen upgrades since last year. The propane grill newly positioned by the back door was helpful. Cindy is a very responsive hostess.
