Location and staff. The view.
Paid sun loungers (you could get them for free from the barracas); towels were deeply stained, breakfast had a lot of variety but certain items were poor quality - trading quality for quantity. one of the two elevators was broken and it tool ages to go up or down, and it remained broken for all the 4 days I stayed up there. Staff was kind and well trained.

The bed and pillows were comfy and the room and bathroom were clean
The kitchen doesn’t work at night.. So you have a problem if you are hungry after 10 pm.
And also they sometimes miss cleaning the room. Even after you ask them, it takes a lot of time for them to do it so it creates some uncomfortable situations

Amazing location directly to the sea, we were given a room on a high floor as requested, very clean, comfortable,soft mattress, balcony with fantastic side sea view! Staff was polite and made up there way to serve us!
Many of beach bars are open 24/7 where you can enjoy beach facilities, with tasty food and Caipirihnas,beers,etc. Also,many restaurants nearby to choose from.
Far away from Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, but we know it before and we were OK with that!
