The main part of this castle features a spacious living area with room for the whole group. Snuggle down into the sectional for an evening of movies, socializing, and relaxing. Cook a meal for just a few or up to 17 in the gourmet kitchen. There's custom cabinetry, a breakfast bar, and extras like a coffee grinder, mixer and a blender. There is ample room for at least 17 guests to enjoy dinner at the various seating areas in the main level. You can watch for whales at the cozy window seat or play games and puzzles while you look out at the ocean and Three Arch Rocks National Wildlife Refuge. There are also balconies and many quiet spots throughout this main space to sit with a book and a glass of wine. In another section of the home, there is a lovely area with a cozy living room, small full kitchen with an eating area under a turret ceiling, a private covered balcony and gorgeous panoramic views. The third addition also has a beautifully designed living room, dining room, and full kitchen. This part of the castle also has a balcony and ocean views from many of the windows. Berni's Castle is ideal for up to three families or groups traveling together - each can have their own space, but there are plenty of common areas (indoors and out) to socialize as a group. Other amenities throughout the whole home include three sets of washers and dryers, WiFi, a CD player, and an iPod dock. There is a TV and DVD player in each of the three units, as well as three private deck areas. There is also a large common deck with ocean views and a grill for guest use. Guests can also make unlimited long distance calls in the United States. From here, it's just a 5-minute walk to beach access. Oceanside boasts a long stretch of sand, perfect for exploring and going on long, leisurely walks. On days you don't feel like cooking, the whole group can wander down to the popular Roseanna's Cafe for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. In nearby Tillamook, you can fish, golf, or sample an array of cheese and ice cream at the Tillamook Cheese Factory. If you want to get out and explore further, take the 40-mile drive along the Three Capes Scenic Route - just expect to stop the car frequently for scenic viewpoints and photo ops. A stay at this legendary Oceanside vacation home includes gorgeous 180-degree ocean views, modern amenities, and a great location just steps from the sand! Our group of seven friends were very pleased with our accommodations, very well appointed and comfortable for all.

We loved the location and accommodation. Fit our family well while we were there for difficult circumstances. Entry into one of units was not working & since most of us didn’t even have cell service made it difficult to contact. Finally my husband’s phone worked. 2 of the units have ant problems and using taro is not taking care of it, need professional assistance. Bedding should be updated. The few things that weren’t the best circumstances did not take away from enjoying this property immensely. Well maybe the ant situation haha, I absolutely hate them 😁

Perfect set up for our entire family. We had 10 people and having the 3 separate units was great. Main unit perfect for all of us to gather for meals and family time.

The only problem we had was getting into the units. The codes that were given us were not usable and without having a savy family member engineer we would not been able to access any of the units.. We did call and we got someone to get us into the main unit and explained to us that the codes were not correct. But except for that we had a marvelous time and each unit was well equipped and comfortable.

I wanted so bad to love this home, we’ve stayed here before but it’s been several years. Units 1 and 2 were very good. Unit 3 is in need of some help. All the units have great flooring and the walls and trim are in very good condition. The bathrooms also are really nice for a beach house and it was also very clean for a vacation rental. It started off that we couldn’t even access Unit 3 for many hours. It’s not Vacasa’s fault, there is zero cell signal there so no way to contact them for help. After we finally got in, we noticed right away the dining room light fixture didn’t work at all. And there are no other lights over that area. So imagine our disappointment that the main table couldn’t be used for the games and puzzles we’d brought. Vacasa was great and sent out Jeremy right away who was wonderful. He fixed everything he could but it still didn’t work. The owner would have to approve and electrician to replace the fixture but that didn’t happen. When we pay 7 grand for four nights you can imagine how upsetting that was. Unit 3 has multiple other light bulbs out, many screens missing, broken window mechanisms, broken kitchen cabinets, the dishwasher is a broken disaster, so is the faucet on the main sink, no hot pads and no baking sheets. Unit three just needs some TLC, then all future renters will be spared our bad experience.

Set up is hard to find and very welcome. With three separate units everyone has their own space, privacy and quiet time, but can all gather for meals in the center section. Definitely walkable to the beach and we had some great weather. We would be happy to return.

I had to give it three stars because of non-functioning/maintenance items in the main unit (#3). The grill: the burners were so caked with grease that once we managed to get it lit (the igniter didn't work), it didn't produce enough heat to cook anything. Judging from the build up at the bottom under the burners, the unit had never been cleaned. We had to use the stove both nights, however the exhaust fan above it didn't run, at all. Also the bottom rack of the dishwasher was missing a wheel, so it automatically derailed itself constantly. On a positive note, the new deck off the main unit is a great addition. For $1600+/night I expected working appliances.
