Situated in West Custer Township, this attractive cabin for $300 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Relax and reinvigorate on 21 secluded acres outside of Custer, SD. Beaver Creek Lodge has oversized hand-hewn logs, vaulted ceilings, and artistic finishes truly make this cabin something to behold. Immerse yourself in nature when you enjoy South Dakota mornings and sunsets on the wraparound deck or any of the three private balconies. It’s set on 21 private, wooded acres on a scenic hillside, above Beaver Creek, which meanders through a lush meadow below. Explore the creek itself and see the wildlife it attracts year-round including deer, cows, chipmunks, birds, wild turkeys, the occasional elk, and, of course, beavers! Be sure to visit Wind Cave Park, just 1 mile down the road, and Custer State Park, 6 miles away, to witness wild herds of buffalo and elk which migrate through the area. You’re also 1.5 miles east of HWY 87, better known as the beautiful Needles Highway. The interior of this charming cabin is handcrafted with rustic log walls and warm pine accents. Cozy up in front of the stone fireplace, built by the owner herself, and enjoy all of the modern conveniences to make for a rejuvenating stay. The main level is equipped with a full kitchen and any appliances you’ll need, coffee for the morning or a grill for the evening. Enjoy coffee at the breakfast bar or sit down for a meal at the formal dining table. The living room is encased with giant, view windows and patio doors to access the deck. The Master Bedroom with a walk-in closet, private bath, and secluded private deck is also on the main level, as well as an accessible half-bath. On the second floor, you’ll find a loft area overlook, two bedrooms, and a full bath. Each bedroom has patio doors to its own cozy, private balcony. The walk-out basement boasts a large family room with a wet bar, pool table, and patio doors to a covered patio. There’s an additional bedroom downstairs with a full bath, for privacy and additional relaxing space. Arrive as you are and leave feeling as peaceful. We think you’ll like it here. This is a great property—super location to most Black Hills outdoor fun. A log house to envy. The negatives are nit-picky—driveway is steep but if you know what you are doing, no problem. Kitchen is a little small for big family dinner efforts, but we made it work. We will come back. Oh yeah, ethernet cable right next to commode in master bedroom for folks who need that sort of multi-tasking!

Looking for a remote cabin in the woods and found it, It's remote but everything you want to do is within an hour of its location. Very close to Custer state park. Very nice management. Clean and comfortable. Has all the kitchen ware you need. Responded quickly to questions. Beautiful view, makes you want to get up early, sit on the deck with your coffee and watch the sun rise. Worth the the price. Quite, peaceful and beautiful.

House needs some maintenance work. Downstairs walls are banged up, downstairs bedroom has drywall hanging down from ceiling , water bottles on ground from previous tenants and coffee maker took an hour to brew coffee..

Our stay with old friends was indeed wonderful there. And viewing the night sky was perfect because we were so far away from anything. Maybe too far at times, as we spent more time in the car than planned. But other than that it was great!

No problem. Reserve early. Great escape from the hussle and bussle of the motorcycle rally. Fair warning, the driveway is steep and gravel. Ruts and gravel and motorcycles don’t mix as motorcycle people know. Otherwise, absolute beautiful! 5 stars for sure.

Cabin has that true cabin feel. Location is truly secluded. Everything you need is provided. Great location to explore the Custer area and south. Numerous ATV trails and destinations right from the cabin.

The t.v. was not turned on once due to fun board games and puzzles that were at our convenience. Plus the awesome pool table!! The fireplace set the ambiance each night while looking at the beautiful stars in the sky. Waking up to deer all around the yard was awesome!! Jody was an amazing host and had no problems answering all our questions. This cabin fit our family of 8 with room to spare!

Remote log home in a beautiful setting.
Very easy checkin. Good directions to remote site. Very nice cabin. Comfortable and well stocked. Overall well maintained, but fixtures, lamps, window sills, and fans were very dusty.

From the pictures it appeared to have more flat grassy area for lawn games but that isn't the case that was only a minor disappointment. It does take about 10 minutes to get back to main road from gravel road the house is on. We enjoyed the area and even has horses down the road come over so we could pet them. You do have about a 30-45 minute drive to most things, but we just planned accordingly.
