The absolute perfect place to stay in the Black hills area.

Everything was great at Chief Motel. It started with the desk staff and the 90 second tour. After that I knew we were going to have a great stay! Room was great, pool is huge and love the fact it is it's own building. Value for what you get here is great. Rooms are a comfy, quiet and clean.

Literally nothing, this place was amazing.

Perfect Vacastay!

Bruce and Lillie made it fun! We arrived and went to sign in, Bruce met us with a smile, Lillie a wagging tail! Bruce gave us some tips on what was around d to see and gave us a map. The rooms were clean, comfortable located in a great spot! Thank you for a wonderful stay! Kimlee and Doug

Comfy bed and very clean but bring your ear plugs.

Room was very clean and neat, and the bed was very comfortable.

It's an old school motel with very thin walls and doors. You can hear everything. Thankfully we had quiet neighbors.

Clean, affordable stay in Custer

Very clean two-bedrooms. Maintained daily. Chairs available in room. Good-size bathroom. Pool well-kept and bigger than most motel pools. Nice hot tub. Extra toilets in pool area. Good location to Black Hills attractions. Close, walking distance to popular Custer restaurants. Parking marked and right at the room.

First bedroom was also TV room, cramped for two adults and a teen— but doable.

Superb

Location was good. No breakfast but restaurants near. The 2 bedroom room worked great for us and was the same price as a room with 2 queen beds. Owners very friendly and helpful.

Everything was really good!

The room was very clean and cleaned daily. The location was nice. The parking situation was good. The selection of beds for a room was perfect. There were plenty of towels available without asking for extras.

Bathroom door was sticky. Shower flow was low. (kinda had to be nit-picky to come up with anything for this section)

Very pleasant staff! Clean rooms & very comfortable beds!

They don’t serve breakfast. The location was great!

The bathroom was in need of a few repairs.

Nice step back in time. Simple and clean.

Beds were very comfortable. Had all the basics. 2 bedroom so the teenager got his own room. Nice clean towels and bed linens. No funky smell for an older motel. Had hair dryer, small coffee pot, mini fridge and small microwave in room. Couldn't hear road traffic. It's older but maintained better than most It's age.

Plug ins need updating, charger cords kept falling out as well as coffee pot cord, hair dryer and anything else you plug in. Could use a second TV in 2 bedroom unit. Heater was a bit noisy but worked well.
