Overall this was a very nice older home in an upscale neighborhood. Location was amazing! Very quiet and peaceful. Great patio area for people watching in the front facing the beach and a large area in the back yard with a hot tub. Short walk to La Jolla Beach and walkable to the town (1.7 miles).
Too many fees added to the price made it expensive.
The place was clean, but there were some small details that showed the age. Everything worked that we used so no complaints about that.

We loved this property and all the appointments. After a little challenge getting in (we had plenty of on time support by the staff), we were thrilled with the cleanliness, many entertainment spaces, toys for kids, and well appointed kitchen. The location is of course impossible to surpass (and I know because I live in LJ!). I had my family staying here during Christmas and everything was delightful. Highly recommend this property!

Accommodations are fine but this place is all about the location. Out the front door and 100yds to surfing. Hot tub in the back perfect for warm ups. Half mile to the La Jolla Shores main drag for dinner and surf rentals. House is dated but in a quaint SoCal style that works just fine.

We are grateful to have stumbled upon this home. After going through several rentals over the course of seven weeks during my daughters cancer treatment, we stayed here the last few days. It was the perfect place to decompress and we loved everything about it. Management was very responsive and checking in & out was a breeze. We hope to be able to come back again someday.

The location of the house was great for the ocean/beach, but was not great for walking to get coffee or food. Stores were not as close as we would have liked. Difficult to have it all. Overall, I would recommend this home for your future vacation.

Location was fantastic, right across the street from the beach. The home had plenty of space for kids to play, a nice fire pit and hot tub. Was a tad warm without AC, but I would recommend this home!

Location of the property is perfect, which is why we booked it but unfortunately that was the highlight of the stay. The house is very much dated with fixtures and outdoor overhangs tearing and everything is rusting. The property has a insect infestation. Flies were all around the property as well as inside, a few days into the stay there were maggots crawling all over the kitchen floor while making breakfast. After calling the management company all they did was send a pest control person 2 days later to spray the inside of the house which we declined since he have small children. There are no cleaning supplies in the home and after requesting some to clean up the maggots it was never brought to us. Additionally there are crickets surrounding the property and also inside the home. A few were in the kitchen and chirped all night long, and all of them outside made it impossible to hear the ocean at night which was a selling point to stay there. Lastly the refrigerator made a hellacious noise that woke us up in the middle of the night, they sent someone out to take a look at it and could not fix it so they unplugged it and we used the extra refrigerator in the garage which was fine albeit inconvenient. It is not worth what you pay after everything is said and done, easy to get past the dated house but the incidents of our stay made it uncomfortable and disgusting.

The location is great. A street off the beach with a view of the ocean from the front porch. The area is fantastic. Short walk down to Avenida De La Playa which has a selection of places to eat. The area and the beach are the best.
The house was clean and had tons of space. Backyard has plenty of area to spread out.
No bathrooms on the main floor was strange. Check in was easy.

The home was generously sized for a family of 3 adults and 1 teen, and had good outdoor spaces to enjoy time outside. Great value for the price, but a few things would have made our stay a five star rating. While the home included fresh towels, we would have appreciated more clean towels to reduce our laundry over 5 days. The property is in dire need of updates: abundance of rust, chipping paint, open hole in the kitchen ceiling, lack of proper shower ventilation, torn fabric on bunk beds, aged appliances to name a few. A little TLC goes a long way in making guests feel “at home” while being so far away from home.

If you want to ruin your vacation then this is the house you want to rent. We had to leave early by how disgusting and unbearable to stay at this house. This house has no AC so you have to open the doors to get the hot air out. As soon as you open the doors and the windows you have hundreds and hundreds of flies flying into this house and crawling all over your food your clothes your face…… This house has no screens to keep the flies away. Some windows does have screens but with such big gaps that flies fly right through. We have rented this house for six nights and had to leave early because of this issue. It was unbearable to even sit and enjoy your coffee. We couldn’t eat inside because the flies literally get in your mouth. I wish I could post some pictures of how many dead flies there were on the floor with me walking around with a fly swatter half of the night chasing them around and killing them. I’m still so disgusted by just remembering how nasty it was. I will never rent or recommend to anyone to stay in this house.

Upon arriving I walked into the home an it was over 100 degrees. The one fan was functional in the kitchen. In order to escape the heat I went to the back porch (the one that is advertised on the photo) and was unable to sit down for more than 5 minutes due to the fly infestation.
I reached out to the property manager, but they were unavailable because it was Sunday. I ended up having to stay in a hotel that night as the house was uninhabitable. I asked for a refund the following day and was provided the following response.
"We are contacting you today regarding the A/C and pest issue that was reported to our team. Unfortunately, we have very few options available at this time. All of our portable A/C units have been spoken for, and retailers are completely sold out due to the heatwave. We could arrange for our team to source some additional fans and fly traps for you, although we do not have any fans left on hand, and stores may be sold out of them as well. "
They went on to tell me that they will offer NO COMPENSATION what so ever. Vacasa could care less about guest experiences. The absolute experience ever.

The house was beautifully decorated and clean except for the floors. It's right across from the beach and close to Sea World. I would definitely come back!

We loved the location. It was right across from a public beach and was very walkable. We appreciated the parking garage for our car. It was well appointed with most everything we needed.

This is the perfect place for a gathering! The seating for so many, the immense space available to all, the amazing kitchen cupboards with everything one could ever need, the lovely serving dishes, the blue and white, the simplicity! Such joy to be away from the responsibilities of home and just relax in such a lovely setting. We hope to return many times!
