The set up here is my absolute favourite.
A large bedroom with air-conditioning & seating so you can comfortably be inside if it's too hot outside. But outside, there was a lovely little covered deck with a table & chairs, lighting & a fan
We so enjoyed sitting out there in the pouring down monsoon rain, having a beer & snack in the late afternoon, then later dining from the house menu.
Great chef, by the way!
Loved the historical aspect.
Very kind & helpful staff.
Great location.
And, lovely quality, heavy cotton sheet & duvet cover on the bed.
Nothing at all.
It's very rare to get all the ducks stacked up in a row - such a pleasant place to stay.

Very good staff. Felt like staying in a palace.
The only issue was after putting AC for a long time still was feeling hot. The room is really big so 1.5 tn Ac is not enough for the room. So it will take tooo much time to become cold.

This review is based on the queen room and not the superior queen room. There is one queen room (room 101) and two superior rooms (102&103)
The hotel is located in the centre of town just 5 mins taxi ride from the Jai Vilas Palace on a busy commercial road with lots of shops eateries etc, however it is up a side street so is very quiet. Staff very helpful and polite. The breakfast was a very good size. I had an omelette which was well cooked while the fruit platter consisted of 2 bananas and a large bunch of grapes. The room was clean and it’s quite spacious too. Finally the A/C worked well
It should make it clearer that this room has a private bathroom but it’s not an en suite, it’s across a corridor which is inconvenient. Water for shower was luke warm. Room is internal so has very little light.
