The way the room just opened out onto the beach and the ocean waves so I could just sit there watching and listening to them for ages.
All good. Maybe a little few courtesy ‘welcome’ sachets of tea or coffee would have been a nice homely touch, but not required of course. Lovely accommodation.

Shared bathroom/toilet look not safe. No bidet for the shared toilet. Reccommend to book the family room

The guest houses are directly next to the beach, so it's very convenient. There are only 3 guest houses available at a time, so it wasn't overcrowded or too inconvenient to share the single bathroom. They also give you a lantern to use for going from your house to the bathroom or the beach which is very useful because it can be quite dark. The aircon also worked very well!
The futons and pillows are very very thin and on top of hard wood floors, so if you're sober and trying to sleep, it's very difficult to get comfortable. The communication and friendliness of the staff wasn't the best. When we first arrived, the staff member asked if we wanted dinner and pointed to a tray of food to be barbequed on the grill, making us think we could pay for dinner and eat there. But, when it came time for dinner, the staff member was shocked when we came in and asked about dinner and just said "No, no, no!" We had already begun drinking beer, so we had to look online for a taxi service to take us to the only restaurant nearby in a hotel. Don't make our mistake.
